1. If you want a great love story, it HAS to be Bram Stoker's Dracula, it is the greatest love story EVER made.  The actors are awesome, the story is timeless and even Drac made me fall in love all over again.

2. The Wedding Singer-how can you not fall for Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore?  Adam with his amazing voice and Drew with her quirkiness that is so endearing.  Again, made me belive that nice guys definately finish best.

3. The Shawshank Redempition-Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman tell the tale of a budding relationship in the worst of all conditions.  The hope that is given throughout the movie, the remarkable lines like "get busy living, or get busy trying".  And who can resist Morgan Freeman's narration.

4. Million Dollar Baby-Again, on of Morgan Freeman's finest hours.  Great narration, keeps you thinking about not only the fight this girl has, but the emotions of all involved.  Won't give away the ending, but it is a powerful, lovely movie that keeps you thinking long after it's over.

5. Crash-Great ensamble cast, great story telling and most of all, reminding us of what predjudices we all have, weither we want to admit them or not, and how every life is intertwined somehow.

6. 10 Things I Hate About You-updated version of Taming of the Shrew, best movie, great acting (for vertually no named actors at the time), love gone wrong gone right.  I watch this movie every chance I get, I love the ending at the prom and it all falls apart, so typical, and you really see it coming, but, it's ok, because it rocks as a movie

7.Rent-Saw it on Broadway, wasn't too excited about seeing it in movie form, but was dragged to it (literally), and it was AMAZING, most of the actors from the stage were in the screen version, which means that it meant something to them and was something they enjoyed doing even 10 years later. Loved loved loved it.

8. Brick- little indie film, never hit theaters, but it was great, the acting was a little over the top (think Dawson's Creek), but it was good, keep suspence going, and again, suprise ending.

9. 50 First Dates-Again the duo of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore team up for this love fest of a movie, seeing a man work so hard for a girl just brings flutters to my heart...seriously, how many guys would do that?

10.Monster-Charlize Theron, anything else to say?  Great portrayal and bringing Ms. Theron to a place that I have rarely see actors go-no ego.

11. In America-Got this on DVD, don't know if it was in theatres or not, but it was good.  Family moves to America looking for the promise of a better life, and it's not its cracked up to be.  The upstairs neighbor was one of the best parts of the movie.

12. Whale Rider-Subtitled but worth it.  Tells the story of a little girl whos grandfather is disappointed shes a girl and not a boy (he's the chief and now has no heir), and the amazing transformation of the girl and her grandfather as she tackles the job of being what he wanted her to be, and realizing that just because you're not what people think you are, if you try hard enough, you can make anythingn happen.

13. Erin Brockovich-Julia Roberts and Aaron Ekhart are awesome as a team, the kids are adorible, and oh yeah, she does something great for other people, while being down to earth, and caring (imagine that).  Great lines like "they're boobs, Ed" and "well, since I have no education, no law degree and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, I gave 632 b***jobs in the past week, whew, I'm tired." Gotta love her.

14. Mask- Movie based on true life, drugged out mother, has a deformed son, who she loves and adores, but apparently not as much as her drugs.  He fights to be "normal" and makes perfect combacks to those who tease him, sad ending, but that's what makes it real.

And last but definatly not least

15. That Thing You Do- catchy music, good story line, so close to what happens a lot of the time in not only the music business but also in movies, tv, etc.  Great acting by Tom Hanks and Tom Evrett Scott (uncanny resemblense I say).  Sweet and down to earth.

Hope you like some, if not all, of these.
