My Top Anti Aging Hand Creams - Five Hand Creams to Keep Your Hands Looking Young! Review

Our hands show age just as fast - or faster than - our faces and necks. Many celebs who have had a lot of cosmetic surgery give themselves away with old looking hands. I have tried dozens of hand creams and have a few favorites that I feel hydrate well and help keep my 45 year old hands looking youthful. Here's my list of favorites in particular order. They each do great things for my hands!

BeautiControl Regeneration Extreme Repair Hand Therapy

This hand cream is amazing! Made with alpha hydroxy acids to slough off dead skin gently, my hands feel silky smooth, never greasy, and look younger after use. While the 3 ounce tube is a bit pricey $13.50, a little goes a long way and the results are worth it! It's very unique and works immediately and long term to keep hands supple and youthful.

Sally Hansen Age Correct Retinol Hand Crème

This citrus scented hand cream contains retinol which is a non prescription youth dew as well as collagen and antioxidants. The cream is thick, rich, non greasy and really makes my hands look and feel better. I love the orange scent of this cream too. It's even affordable at around $6.00 for a 4.5 ounce tube.

The Body Shop Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue

This ultra thick, rich treatment is great for overnight use. It restores hydration with almond oil and lots of other good stuff to make hands super soft. If your skin is dehydrated, it wrinkles and looks old. Keeping hands super hydrated will keep them looking youthful at any age. I love this tub of hand butter and will use it at night with gloves for a super treat for hands and they thank me by looking and feeling ultra soft. The Body Shop also has an Almond Oil lotion in a tube that's great for daytime use.

Mario Badescu Elasto Seamollient Hand Cream

If you like natural products, this one will leave you thrilled. Enriched with peanut oil, this tub of natural hand cream drenches hands in needed moisture as well as natural antioxidants and hydrators to keep hands supple. This cream is thick and comes in a tub and a tiny amount is needed to get lasting results. Although it doesn't contain any particular anti aging ingredients, it has a lot of natural ingredients that restore hands and take years off the look of them.

Avon Planet Spa Africa Shea Butter Hand & Cuticle Crème (My sister's review)

I love Avon's Planet Spa African Shea Butter line and have everything they make in the line. This hand cream has rich shea butter in it and is super concentrated. It goes to work on dry, hard working hands and repairs them as well as softens and hydrates. Very little is needed to keep hands soft and supple. I also suggest that you try Avon Planet Spa African Shea Butter Foot & Elbow Cream with AHA. That is a magnificent cream with Alpha Hydroxy acids as well as shea butter and can be used on all rough parts of the body.

There you have my top five hand creams. There are many others out there with great ingredients and this list is by no means inclusive. When looking for a hand cream, try to find one that mentions anti aging or that contains alpha hydroxy acids or retinol for day and ultra moisturizers for night. Ideally you should have at least two hand creams - one for all day application and a thick treatment for night. Our hands don't have the same types of pores as our faces so they need extra hydration all the time to stay looking great. An SPF is always needed when outside and a good hand scrub will add to your results.

Lastly, don't overlook the cuticles. My favorite cuticle creams (that can also be used as super concentrated hand creams are LUSH Lemony Flutter and Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Crème. Both are natural and ultra concentrated. And they smell soooo good!
