I've tired many of the breast feeding pillows on the market and have found My Brest Friend to be the best for provinding much needed support to mama and baby during nursing. My Brest Friend wraps securely and snugly around you, giving the baby an excellent platform to rest on during nusing. Unlike the Boppy, My Brest Friend wraps snugly around the mom. That's important when feeding small wriggly newborns! I found that, when using My Brest Friend, my son didn't slip into the crevice between my body and the pillow like he did when nursing using the Boppy. And because of the unique design of My Brest Friend, it's adjustable to many body types. Larger or smaller body types can succesfully use this pillow because of the adjustable strap and velcro cover. Highly recommended!

Stepping into motherhood can be super overwhelming and the products can make your life so much more daunting. This was one place where I lost my sleep and even had a debate in one of my dreams as to which one i should buy first. I went online and ytried reading everything and anything I could asmy incline towards Boppy was great, as i like to be flexible. This one looked more like a food tray put around my waste and not a soft tray for that matter. Moms love it so they must have done something write and its a hate or love relationship with this pillow. EIther you love it or hate it. So my advice to anyone trying to pick between the two. See what is your comfort level. In between night feedings would you always want to strap this around yourself and place the baby on it. To some it would be an added wonderful feature, to me it looked cumbersome. Also the Boppy is good for tummy time and also the baby sleeps in bewteen it and is safe when you place the baby on the bed. Boppy is soft and this is rigid. Boppy is flexible and this is firm. So its like buying a car so pick one whose features you like and not what everyone likes. Updated : Feb 2012 I have my baby in my arms and the boppy works well. When my friends with kids heard we were expecting and that I was going to breastfeed everyone insisted I needed a Boppy. I had seen someone about 8 years ago with a My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow so I asked about it but none of my friends had even heard of it so I bought a Boppy.  Well, I kept thinking about the My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow and decided to buy one of them as well.  Am I ever glad I did! I have used the Boppy a few times for feeding but mostly I use it to prop my little one up.  I use the My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow *every *day.  I love the way it straps tight around you to form a little "baby shelf" to support the baby.  It makes it possible for me to feed while doing something else with my other hand. The cover has a handy little pocket on the side I use to keep an extra pacifier in for emergencies or to keep my cell phone close.  The cover comes off for easy washing which is handy for those feeding spit ups. If you're only going to buy one feeding pillow this is the one!

I got this pillow after trying it during an appointment with a lactation consultant. It helped a lot with positioning, and since I was having trouble nursing I decided to get one since I didn't really like the boppy pillow I already had. It is nice and firm and has two raised points for baby's head to rest on. There is a nice back rest that helps with positioning and it latches on the side and can be tightened or loosened. It also comes with a handy little pouch that can be used to hold a snack or water bottle while nursing. It makes it so much easier to nurse when you don't have to hold the weight of the baby in your arms You can just rest them of the pillow and use your hands to help with the postioning and latch. It makes nursing for long periods of time very comfortable. I plan on using this product for a long time and highly recommend it. The lactation consultant I saw says it is the only nursing pillow they use and I can see why. I love it!

Living away from my mom and sister and being pregnant with my first child was difficult. I didn't know what to buy and what was a waste of money. I am so glad that my boss at work had just had his first child. He was truly a life saver because he told my to buy My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow. He said not to waste money on Boppy. My Brest Friend was truly a friend. I loved the pouch on the front and the clip around belt. The person that designed this is awesome! When you are a new mom and exhausted and just uncertain. You don't want to have to juggle a pillow. I could sit and be comfortable while I nursed or later bottle fed my daughter. She was so comfortable she would fall asleep when she was finished. It is certainly something I will recommend to my friends and family and would buy again for any future babies. It made my new job as a new first time mom less scary and convenient and comfortable. And now, when my daughter grows up I can pass on this new wisdom to her.

The hospital where I had my son had these pillows, so that's why I started with this when I was breastfeeding my son. I really liked this pillow. It was a bit to get it on, but it really held up and was supportive for him while I was feeding him. I liked it better than the Boppy pillow. It was firmer and actually helped me more. I didn't have to pay for this, but had one given to me and that was a huge blessing. I'm not sure I would have been willing to pay for it if I would have had to buy it new. Pretty spendy, but if you can afford it, I say go for it - it will definitely help!

Unlike similar products, this pillow attaches to around your waist and allows you to be hands free. I felt so much more secure using this pillow with my babies. The clip is easy to use and makes it very simple to get in and out of and to have at a comfortable snugness. I also like that the sides are padded so that it doesn't dig into your sides. The plastic it comes in can be reused to store it in and it is easy to clean. Overall, I put this in my "must have" list for all mothers to be and often purchase it for baby showers even if they don't register for it. I always get positive feedback for it.

I have to be honest - I got a My Brest Friend after seeing one on a TV reality show. It looked like a much improved version of the classic boppy pillow, which I already owned (actually I had two) and had never really had much use for. I liked that the My Brest Friend was attached to your waist, so it could in theory free up at least one hand. My son was a baby who had colic and he liked to pretty much nurse from early afternoon through late evening every day. I thought the My Brest Friend might be my lifesaver. After getting over the shock of how much more pricy they were compared to the boppy, I bought one with high hopes. It was only okay. While it did kind of work to free up one hand, I could only seem to make that scenario work when I was sitting, and the baby was propped with blankets. Otherwise I was too afraid that he would roll off my lap. So at least I was able to eat dinner one-handed. I had also been looking forward to being able to nurse him, supported by the pillow, while I walked around. But the box and instructions warned strongly against doing that, so I was too chicken to try it. In the end, I used the My Brest Friend very little, but on the up-side it does seem to hold it's value for resale, so that's a plus. And it was also definitely more comfortable than the boppy.

I researched both the Boppy Pillow and the Brest Friend Nursing Pillow before ultimately deciding to purchase the Brest Friend Nursing Pillow. I am really satisfied with my choice. It is comfortable to wear, which is important because you will spend a better portion of your day with it attached to your body! I love that it secures tightly with the clasp, because it stays in place even when the baby shifts around. The Brest Friend helps raise the baby to just the right height so you aren't forced to hunch over. My back doesn't hurt after using the Brest Friend like it does when I breastfeed without it. The cover is easy enough to remove to throw in the wash. I liked the patterns that were offered for the cover, because they didn't look too child-like. I chose a pretty floral print and was happy to have a nursing accessory that reflected my taste instead instead of my son's. I highly recommend it!

I've got the brest friend as well as the boppy pillow and as much as I'd love to give this product rave reviews, I just didn't like it much at all. Firstly, it's made of a somewhat rigid foam core, so it's not very soft. It definitely helps with positioning, but it isn't flexible and malleable. It made me feel like I was literally wearing a "spare tire" around my waist. The cover is extraordinarily difficult to remove (unlike the boppy), and the cover itself is made from a very think fabric, which ripped during the second time around in the washing machine. It's also very tightly fitted, so when one tries to put it back on, you essentially stretch it to the point of ripping. For the money, I think there are far better pillow options out there. I also noticed that it seemed to be a bit narrow, not quite wide enough to fully support even a newborn baby. It's far preferable to using nothing, however!
