On a lighter note! :)  I don't know about the rest of you, but I love to listen to music, LOUD, as I drive around in my Ranger.  I have a 6-CD changer JUST for that purpose.  I don't subscribe to satellite radio because I want more control over what I hear blaring from my speakers and I listen to over-the-air radio only often enough to hear new music because there is too much talk and too many commercials.  So, the little laser thingy in my CD player generally works overtime.  Do you listen to a lot of music in your vehicle?  If so, what's playing in your car/truck/Hummer right now?  Here's what is in mine

1. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road-Elton John (disc 1, 30th anniversary edition remaster)- Elton has always been THE man in my book.  I just ignore the fact he's also THE queen....The first song "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" is perfect for summer driving with the windows rolled down and the speakers blasting.

2. Great 80's- a CD mix I made of 80's music. I reviewed it here....go. read it!! :)

3. Revelation-Third Day:  Just great Christian-themed rock

4. Sugarland-Love on the Inside/Deluxe Edition- One of my very favorite songs to listen to right now (this changes frequently) is a cut from this CD. "What I'd Give"- has a long guitar based riff at the end that reminds me of some good sumpin' from Lee Roy Parnell or Keith Urban.

5. Rock N' Soul Pt 1- A CD mix I made of good 70's R&B interlaced with good ole' 70's rock. Muh growed up years right thar.

6. Lay It Down-Al Green- I bought this the day it was released in late May of this year and I think it has remained in my CD player even as I've cycled out all the other cds several times.  Right now, this gets my vote for album of the year.

Amy Grant also sings a song called My Father's Eyes and I love it!  Earlier I was listening to some of her music and I got to hear In A Little While.

I'm currently listening to my mixpod on the Internet; which has a variety of music. Playing right now I Loved Her First by Heartland.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Kings of Leon and Lady Gaga. The lead singer for KoL has a strong soulful voice. Lady G is fun and something to dance to.

De La Soul - 3 Feet High And Rising

Our SUV's CD player does not work in the winter, even if it did, iTunes refuses to burn CD's, so I listen to my iPod with an adapter. I drove from Texas to Iowa and didn't hear the same song twice. My mix is pretty eclectic, but I have always loved early hip/hop and urban dance music. I heart dancing.

My church choir began practicing for the Christmas cantata and the director passed out the CDs with our parts on them.  So now I am listening to The Tree Of Light (soprano version).

Celtic is probably my favorite genre. I love Celtic Woman, Enya, and Moya Brennan. I also like any soundtracks that are Celtic. Cinderella Man, Master and Commander and Braveheart (Though I hate the movie) are some of my favorites.

Have you ever listened to Celtic Thunder?  I did several reviews on the group, CDs and DVDs.  I've seen them in concert and I love them!!

I love nothing more than driving in my car belting some tunes. The louder & faster the music, the faster I go!! lol. I'm usually a classic rock/jam band kind of girl, but right now it's all holiday music all the time!! It puts me in a great mood & helps me un-wind : D
