I have been going crazy trying to lose some weight and it just isn't happening. I was in the mall and happened to see a store called Vitamin World.  I stopped in and started talking to the salesman who appeared to know a lot about the diet supplements that they carried.  He highly suggested that I purchase Muscletech Hydroxycut Hardcore 210 Softgels.  I was hesitant to buy them because they were $69.99 and that was at 30% off! The salesman talked these supplements up so much that he convinced me to purchase them.

The Facts

Manufacturer Claims:

  • Decrease body fat by 7.9%.*
  • Increase Norepinephrine by 40%.*
  • Maximum strength Thermogenesis.*
  • LiquitechTM - Rapid Release Liquid Micro-Dispersion Technology*

My Experience

I honestly don't understand much about what the manufacturer claims mean but I do know that the salesman was insistent that this was the best product out there for weight loss today and that I wouldn't be disappointed.  I was concerned that my heart would race but he assured me that if I had any problems that I could return the product and get my money back.  I took the bottle home and started taking this supplement the next day.  According to the directions (which you need a magnifying glass to see), day 1 to day 3, I had to take 1 capsule two times a day, day 4 to day 7, I had to take 2 capsules two times a day and finally on day 8 and beyond, I had to take 3 capsules two times a day.  These capsules are large and I needed a lot of water to get these babies down.  The first three days I didn't feel a thing. Nothing good and nothing bad. The next four days as I increased the dosage, I noticed that I was anxious and agitated often.  My heart wasn't racing much but wow was I ever moody.  I also felt really hungry.  I thought that these pills were supposed to curb my appetite but they didn't. Day eight, I was eager to weigh myself and I actually gained a pound. WHAT?  I was disappointed to say the least.  I continued on and started taking the three capsules twice a day. They were so hard to swallow but I did it faithfully because I really wanted to give this product a chance to work.  By day twelve, I was still hungry all the time, my heart WAS racing and I was extremely anxious and moody not to mention that I didn't lose one pound.  Not even the pound I gained!  I was walking daily, watching what I ate and taking $70 supplements with zero positive results.  By day 13, I was done. I took the product back to the store and received a full refund. Thankfully, I didn't suffer any side effects when I stopped them.  I actually felt much better.

My Final Viewpoint

Based on my negative experience with Muscletech Hydroxycut Hardcore 210 Softgels, I don't recommend them.  I saw no positive results and the product caused me to feel anxious, moody and hungry.  I am only giving Hydroxycut a 1 star rating

With all due respect, if you took the time to actually read my review, you would have seen that I in fact did NOT sit on the couch and just pop pills. I wasn't even concerned with the NOT losing weight aspect as much as I was the horrible side effects that I experienced. I suppose it is all a mute point now anyway since it was recently BANNED by the government.

Youre supposed to use this as a "supplement" to good diet and exercise, and it will speed up results. Just because you sat on a couch and popped pills, dont expect to lose weight.

Thanks for the good advice. People should be careful before taking all that over the counter stuff. :>

I don't know what norepinephrine is but it doesn't sound good. I would have avoided it because it sounds too much like a stimulate.
