Murphy Oil has always been a staple in my family. I moved into a new to me house built in the 60's. Who knows the last time the window frames were cleaned, let alone conditioned. After a Murphy Oil treatment they shone like brand new, and the wood no longer looked dry, cracked, and sad. I use this at least twice a year on my wood surfaces!

This oil is really good and leave my house smelling so good. The best way to use this soap for your hardwood floors is to mop few times with just plain water to pick up dust. Ones you mop your floor with the oil DO NOT WALK ON IT, if you walk on your floor if is not completely dry it will leave marks on your floor and you would have to redo. But it dies leave floors shinning and super clean.

I have hardwood flooring in my kitchen/dining area and also in my bathroom. Seeing as my kitchen gets way more traffic through it, the floors were always getting dirty. Between my kids, my dog and just normal wear it never felt clean even after I just wiped it down. My mom went out and bought me Murphy Oil Soap and said it would work wonders. I was skeptical before using it because nothing so far was working for me. By following the simple easy instructions I was amazed by how well it worked. It made my floors look so clean and cut through the dirt very well with not much scrubbing. It left my floors very shiny after it had dried. I was very impressed with how after it was washed my floors felt clean for once. Most other products always left a residue sticky feeling once it had dried. The smell is strong but nothing overwhelming or chemical-like. It has that you know it will be clean smell to it. I personally like buying products that have a tropical smell to it so the scent would be my only complaint, as small as that is. You also do not need to use a lot of the soap, I only used a couple cap fulls when washing my floor. I have also used this on my wooden kitchen table and coffee table and it has restored the shine to them. I highly recommend using this on all your wooden surfaces to bring out the glow. This is my go to brand for my hardwood floors all thanks to my mom.

Murphy Oil Soap is something I grew up with! We had natural woodwork in our house when I was growing up and Mom insisted we use Murphy's twice a month to preserve the natural look of the wood. As an adult I still use Murphy's, but only on occasion because I have never been a fan of the oily residue it leaves behind. If you apply the oil sparingly on your cloth and then onto the surface, the results will be positive, but only after having rubbed it in completely. Most people would tell you that they love the pleasant scent, I on the other hand, have never been a big fan of the scent. Overall, I would recommend this product if you want to preserve the natural wood look of your furniture, fixtures, baseboards, railings, etc.
