I actually didn't buy this because a friend let me try it out after I told her how I couldn't find a dark spot corrector that worked well for me. She said she had only been using this for a few days so she can't say how well it works but that I could try it out since she already had one that works well enough for her. Anyway, I've been using this for about three weeks and honestly I don't know whether or not I like it. Some pros include having a pleasant smell, having a nice gel consistency that feels really refreshing and nice on the skin, not breaking in out like many other dark spot correctors have done, and being very easy to rub into the skin. A little really goes a long way because the gel spreads super easily. Therefore, I think the price is not too bad either. Now, we go to the cons. Honestly there aren't that many bad things to say about this besides not really working. The two weeks, I thought I saw a little improvement in some of my old acne scars but I stopped after the second week so it may have been wishful thinking. So overall, this is an ok product that may work for you. Try it out and see what it does.

When I first saw the offer for a free sample of this Murad Age Spot Pigment Lightening Gel I was really excited. Murad products are expensive enough that I would not want to go ahead an purchase a full size bottle before trying a sample for free. Given the price, I fully expected this product to work very well. When the same pal arrived in the mail I opened the box and actually laughed out loud. It was so small! The package it came in was a rather large box, however upon opening the box I found a tiny little glass vial, no bigger around than my ring finger and less than an inch tall! I was uncertain how good the results could possibly be from such a small amount to try. I was pleasantly surprised to see that with this product a little goes a long way. The tiny sample was more than enough for a weeks use, which I believe was what the sample offer had stated. I began seeing results within the first couple of days. I have had an issue with darkening above my lips that started when I was pregnant with my daughter and never fully cleared up. It's not super noticeable, but I know it's there. This Murad product made it go away really fast. I also have some acne scars that again may not be super noticeable to others buti see them. This has slightly leased those as well. Side Effects I had no side effects from this product. No irritation or redness at all.

This is the third and last pigment lightening gel that I am going to try. I have reviewed the others as well. I am a fan of Murad products and use a couple of others regularly. It came highly recommended at a reputable beauty products store so I decided to give it a try. It is thick which I like and rather sticky which I wasn't thrilled about. The thickness gave me the ability to put it right where I wanted it, but because it did not absorb quickly there was a long wait between the time I used the Age Spot Lightening Gel and then my other serum and moisturizer. I tended to use this at night only so SPF wasn't a factor. Maybe if I had used it more than once a day, I would have gotten better results, but I prefer to use other products in the AM. There was absolutely no lightening of the spots that I could see. I do recommend that you use the contents regularly and dispose of any unused portion that has been sitting around. The remainder of mine turned an interesting shade of orange even though it is in a medicine cabinet away from direct sunlight and the bathroom is air conditioned.

I received a small sample of this product through the Murad website. Using it every night before bed it lasted me about 8 days. It claims to show improvement in skin tone in just 7 days. The product is a thicker serum but still blends well. It feels tacky at first, but fades as it absorbs. It can sting a bit on any raw or open skin, but nothing extreme. I do think it made a difference in my extremely fair, acne-scarred complexion. It seemed a bit more even, a bit less red. I would be very willing to purchase this product.

This was definitely a good buy! I saw some change in my dark spots fairly quickly. The only downside to this serum is that you have to be very consistent to see results. I liked the smell and texture of the serum as well. I dont know how well it would work if you are not on a fairly consistent skin care regimen.

I bought Murad about a month ago and I got to say I am so happy with it I bought another bottle, the only downfall about this product is it is pricey, I found it worked great, I used it day and night, and all over, I was in the sun morning until night and I got a dark tan and sunspots I did not like, I tried afew and after about accouple of weeks I start to notice my tan was going away and alot of my sunspots are gone, I love it, I even used it on my hands as they got quite dark also and they are getting lighter with everyday I use the Murad Age Spot Pigment Lightening Gel, I am happy with this product and am going to continue using it.  Thanks Murad.

Murad Age Spot Pigment Lightening Gel is a product which I have used every winter for the past 2 years.  During the summer months, I cover my face with SPF 30 sunscreen everyday.  During the winter, I use the Murad product as a spot treatment only on my sunspots, which I believe I have from too much sun exposure (and no sunscreen!) when I was in my twenties.   I use it as a spot treatment and not an all-over treatment so that the product will last longer - it sure is expensive.  I used it faithfully once in the morning and once before bed for weeks with no results.  Then I thought to try using it four times a day and that is when my sunspots began to fade slightly.  The areas did turn bright red for a while, then gradually the skin that I was treating got very dry and scaly.  But it was all worth it because the sunspots are now significantly lighter - still visible, but lighter than before.       I would suggest only buying this product if you are going to COMMIT to this productfatithfully  snscreenany time that you are in the sun, so you don't undo all your hard work.  I have tried dozens of products to lighten my sunspots and this was the only one that gave me any results so far - not perfect results, but some improvement.  (I'm 33 years old.)

I am an Esthetician and I love the Murad  Age Spot and lightening gel. This lightweight gel should be applied at least once a day followed by a moisturizer with sunscreen. Age spots are one of the hardest things to get rid of so consistency and limited sun exposrue is the key to making this product work. The key ingredient is hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is the only ingredient approved by the FDA for skin lightening. AHAs exfoiliate to improve penetration of hyodrquinone and accelerate the cell renewal process. There are also ant-inflammatory ingredients to help soothe the skin. Depending on how dark the your spots are will determine how quickly they fade. the darker the spot is... the longer fading will take so some people will need more that one bottle . My opinion is that if you have a little patience , willing to stay out of the sun , and use this product daily you can fade the age spots in no time at all.
