I picked out and bought this crib, along with the dresser and armoire that matched it. We spent a lot of money on a set that we hoped would be a lifetime set for our son. We have been really disappointed with the set mainly because of the finish used over the wood. We set up the crib and I immediately set a music box with little rubber feet on the back of the crib. It sat there for several weeks until my son was born. When I picked it up to play it for him, there were four little rings in the finish where the finish was actually eaten away. We also put a changing pad with non-stick dots on the bottom on the dresser, which was designed to serve as a changer too, and the dots ate the finish away. I went onto the website to file a complaint and was shown a disclaimer that said that they use a special finish, which is non-toxic, but also very soft. Well, the crib rails I can understand, however, my son does not going around chewing on the dresser and armoire. Very disappointing.
