This is a voice-activated (or manually-controlled) crib light that helps soothe your baby to sleep with womb sounds and colored lights.

The lights are just the right brightness for nighttime checking or diaper changing although some colors are easy to see Baby than others, you still can get the task at hand done.

When Baby fusses, well actually Cries, the lights and sound come on to soothe Baby until you can get there and see what Baby's needs are.

I find this to be more of a soother till Mom can get there, rather than a soother to help Baby go back to sleep, I imagine it could be kept on to help baby go back to sleep but that's when I turn to a Soothing Teddy Bear rather than having the light on.

The only fault I find is that Baby has to go into a full cry before it is activated rather than just getting fussy as described, which is fine, because than Mom knows she is really needed!

It is a simple product, with switches that you can easily find even fumbling in the dark with a baby in your arm. The light is approximately 7.5 x 5.8 x 2.9 inches in size and 12.8 ounces in weight, it can be strapped to the side of the crib rails making it safe or placed in a spot nearby but safe for Baby.

The lights are soft and soothing, but just bright enough to see the baby. The sound is just like the sound of mom's heartbeat that you hear in an ultrasound. 

The sound stops after about 10 minutes - plenty of time for Mom to get a bottle and whatever ready for baby's needs.

You do have to remember to manually switch off the light or you will drain the batteries pretty quick when done.

 When I was looking for a voice activated device this is the only one I could find, since then I have found a better one, that I can also record my own voice on to soothe baby! The downfall is it is about 3 times more expensive but I actually do think it is worth the money.I will review it at a later time.
