My 16 month old son is a messy eater. He likes to snack while watching TV sometimes and in the car too. I've always had a problem with him making a mess! He likes to dump out whatever he has. He thinks it's fun but I get tired of constantly cleaning up the messes that he makes. While at Wal-Mart I noticed the Munchkin Snack Catcher Bowls.
I bought them for around $6 for a pack of 2. The colors vary but the ones I purchased were purple and green and orange and blue.
The containers are BPA free and have two rubber handles which is great for little ones to hold on to. The top easily snaps on which is a soft plastic material. There is a spiral shape cut out on top for access inside and prevents things from falling out. The bottom is a rubber material to help prevent scratches on tables and slipping. The bottom also provides a place to put your child's name.
The container holds quite a bit, a little less than a cup. I used them for crackers, cheerios, and other small snacks. They are top rack dishwasher safe.
I love almost everything about them. The only thing that I don't like is the top, they easily come off. It only took my son about a week to figure out how to get them off. My husband and I think they would be much better if the tops screwed on. The tops do prevent big spills but some snacks to do come out while taking them out.
Overall the Munchkin Snack Catcher Bowls have been great. I would recommend these to anyone that has a child who likes to snack.
