I have to be honest when I say that I have a true love / loathe relationship with the Multivet SlimCat Cat Toy. I love it because it is really entertaining to watch. I also love it because this is not only for cats. I have a ferret who chases the thing just about every chance he gets. It is a very simple way to keep your pet not only entertained but also fit and healthy. It helps me to feel like I am a good pet parent. The reason I loath the Multivet SlimCat Cat Toy is simply this: The food and snacks fall out and are spread all around everywhere when your cat starts to swat and chase it. It drives me crazy to keep stepping on and crunching up cat food or treats into my carpet. With every swat, another crunchy deposit of cat food in some random area on your floor. Other than that though, it is a very fun and reasonably priced toy that is entertaining for both - the pet and the pet parent.

I purchased this for my big neutered tom cat, as a way to help him work off some of his pudge, and it really does seem to help. I load up the ball with food or a couple of treats, and let him bat it around and chase his dinner rather than sitting down to a food bowl where he just inhales his meal. This product has several holes in it, and you can select how big or small you want the holes to be (to make it easier or harder for the cat, depending on the situation). I like to challenge my cat, and he seems to really like working for his food. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of his food rattling around in the ball as he bats it around. I also have a smaller ball that was made by purina that has just one hole in it, which I typically use for treats only because it is not big enough to fit much food in. This ball is a nice size to accomodate enough food for a meal. My cat did actually lose a little weight when I switched to feeding him in this versus a bowl. Try it!

We purchased this product for our pets and i must say that i wasn't to thrilled about purchasing when i first saw it. However, i am so happy that i listened to my husband this time. The multivet slimcat cat toy ball and food dispenser has been an ideal toy for our pets and they just love it to death! They play with it all of the time day or night it doesn't matter to them. I highly recommend this product to any pet lover who is trying to feed their pet while they encourage them to be playful all at the same time. The multivet slimcat cat toy ball and food dispenser is the ideal product for those cat lovers on the go who may always have the time to walk their cats and or other pets on a regular basis but who wants to keep they pets healthy and happy all at the same time. I don't think there are enough toys for cats on the market so whenever something new comes out I always try it out on my cat. I bought this and I loved the idea of it- seeing my cat playfully run around my home, knocking his new little ball around, and then getting a treat once in a while. However, I was greatly disappointed when all my cat did was sniff it, and walk away! I tried putting some new treats in it and he pawed it around back and forth between his paws while laying down until the treats came out then ate them rather quickly. I was greatly annoyed and decided to try again by rolling around with the ball myself, but he pretty much just layed there looking at me like I was insane while he swished his tail around. My cat is about two years old so maybe that could be why he didn't like it very much. I think this item would be great for kittens as they are much more playful and fiesty and willing to chase a ball around. My cat loves to play and run around but he is more interested in catching bugs than in playing with this. So if you have a kitten I'd recommend this for you! The idea is to give them excerise but once my cat found out the purpose of this he plopped down and just ate the treats then ignored the empty ball. Cats are too smart to be fooled by such tactics, and younger cats just love to play.

The whole reason i went out and got one is because after i got my cat fixed he started eating extremely to much and had gotten really lazy. so i went out and got one and it was easy AND it helped to regulate how much my cat was eating and the best thing was he was actually intrested in the whole thing some times he even sleeps in tfront of it now like hes gaurding it lol

The MultiVet SlimCat Cat Toy Ball & Food Dispenser is extreamly easy to open and put food and adjust the hole to the right size so the appropriate amount of food or treats fall out. I love the pink plastic which is clear so you can see exactly how much food or treats are left in it. I thought that since it was kinda big she might be scared of it but she loves it. I have yet to see my cat get tired of this and she has had it for two weeks. In fact I have to put it away after all the treats are gone otherwise she gets upset when she plays with it and nothing falls out. This next week I am going to try and put one of her little mouses in it to see if I can get her used to it being a different kind of toy. It has never just come open when she's playing with it which is more than I can say for other toys she has had. This is a great way to keep your pets active and healthy when you are too tired or busy to play with them.

we have my daughters cat living with us for a while and she is not allowed outside so we bought this ball for her to play with because she loves to eat and she doesn't get a whole lot of exercise being in the house all day. She loves it! and it's fun to watch her play with it. She gets so excited when a piece of food drops out. she gobbles it right up! Our big cat, Jack, that goes outside whenever he wants to, seen her playing with it and was very intrigued. Then when he seen the food drop out, he had to see for himself. so he went over and basically stole the ball from her and started batting it around! When a piece of food fell out, he didn't know what to think. It took him a while to get what was going on, but once he did, he loved it too. and since he has some stomach issues when he eats too fast, this worked well for him. He did get bored with it pretty quickly but it was fun watching him. My only advice is, keep tabs on it and how much food you put in or else you will find dry cat food all over your house!

I have a, cat at home and i really have tried just about everything to make her happy. But not until i brought her MultiVet SlimCat toy ball was she happy she run's all over the place with her new toy, it is easy and lot's of fun. My cat finds it to be interesting she play's with it all of the time under the table on the bed every where so now she does'nt go after my shoe's it's a great product we are enjoying it alot with our cat.

**MultiVet SlimCat Cat Toy Ball & Food Dispenser all i can say is wow this is fantastic i have 4 cats and let me say this they love this it keeps them occupied and there is no hassle setting it up easy to keep clean and the kitties get exercise and what more can you ask for when it comes to loving and getting your pets the best and this is the best there are a few on the market but this is is the best that we have tried i do not like to keep switching things but when we found this and the ratings it has been given  we felt we had to get this for our kitties and we sure are glad we did and the cats sure do find this interesting and they can even shed a little weight and i think that is great and so does they very if it keeps them fit and healthy it works for me i like to give my animals the best and all the love so i do recommend this and i think more people should try this out and i am sure they will be pleased **

Well this is something that would last a lot longer than most toys.  I think the cat would use it for years which makes it worth the value.  The amount of food visible is controlled so the cat may or may not monitor its own diet.
