I love high heels but when it comes to all day, every day at work I need something comfortable.  I usually buy a pair of shorter shoes to wear each day, and then mix in the high heels once in awhile.  When my last pair of "work" shoes finally bit the dust, I had to buy a new pair asap or else be forced to walk in heels until I did.  JCPenny and Sears were a bust, as was Payless (where you'll find a lot of flat ballet shoes).

Kohl's looked to be a bust at first too, until I went to the "Juniors" section.  In the womens section they had a lot of high heels that were cute, but I wanted comfy.  All their "comfy" shoes were also ugly.  I guess they think only juniors wear cute shoes!  I found these Mudd Birchh Wedges at Kohl's in the Juniors section, along with 3-4 others that I liked.

The Mudd Birchh Wedges are cute! I like cute shoes.  Cuteness always rates higher than comfort for me and is the first thing I look for.  The Wedge portion is skinnier so they don't look clunky and the fake buckle across the top adds a little something extra.

The Mudd Birchh Wedges are comfy! I am learning quickly that wedges, although high, can still be more comfortable then regular heels.  The wedge gives support to the entire foot so I can walk all over without my feet hurting.  They fit snuggly with a pair of socks and they do not slip off like my last pair of shoes always did.  The padding on the inside certainly makes a difference and since I bought these I noticed my feet don't bother me like they used to with my flatter shoes.

The Mudd Birchh Wedges give me height! I used to only buy short shoes when I was seeking comfort, but these shoes are 2.25" high and still provide the same comfort, if not more, than the flat shoes I used to wear.  Since they are taller, I can wear them in place of heels on days where I have my longer pairs of pants on.

Overall: If you are tired of high heels, but still want some height, check out the Mudd Birchh Wedges in black or brown!  Look for a sale, I bought mine for $35 at Kohls.  Enjoy!!

I agree. Shoes are shoes and people like what they like. How can anyone decide for us what is a junior's style? I buy what I like no matter what the label. I like when they clump all the sizes together and let ME decide what's best for ME.

Well I will be shopping in juniors until I'm 90 apparantly. Perhaps they are aimed at younger people, but I wish the stores would stop separating out juniors vs women in the shoe area because, well if the shoe fits - i'm still going to wear it! Payless doesn't separate out, they just say "here are all the size 7s", I think that's how it should be.

I have no idea how they can label shoes as juniors. Who says? These don't look like what I consider to be a juniors style. But Mudd is considered to be a junior's brand so that could be it. They're cute! I have shoes from flat to super high and I do think wedges are more comfortable than skinny heels by a mile.

Thanks, aren't they cute! My last pair was one of the "ugly" ones and I feel my feet look much better since I got these :)
