Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh, Denzel Washington, Kate Beckinsale, Keanu Reeves and Michael Keaton play in "Much Ado About Nothing", a witty film full of merriment.

Storyline:  Two people (Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson) who have sworn to never marry and love to outwit each other are tricked by their friends into thinking that one loves the other and vice versa.  Benedick (Branagh) and Beatrice (Thompson) are "sneaking" around listening to what their knowing friends are saying about the others undying love for them.

Why I like it:  "Much Ado About Nothing" is a very comical film that is very entertaining to watch.  The characters are always gay and merry and are verbally sparring with their witty assaults.  Reeves isn't in the movie very much but he makes a great villain, and even the sinister aspects of the film are comedic.  Keatons' character is hilarious and Washington is excellent in his role, comedic and a joy to watch.  You don't want to miss the fake death scene.  There's the most beautiful song playing when they're sitting around a serene fountain with green landscape all around.  It's so calm and relaxing it will make you want to be by the fountain in that moment.  Comedy, a fake death, tricked into love, what more could you want?!

I didn't quite understand everything that was said, but it was still pleasant to watch and you get the gist of it from the attitudes and actions of the characters.  There are quite a few parts where a single character will walk around and have conversations with themselves.  It's a big odd a little reminiscent of a soap opera.

Snack Attack:  Some yummy buttered popcorn, air popped of course.
