Sentimental rich, memorable drama -- Great Family Films

a movie guru, very picky about kids films

30 years in the life of Glen Holland, a highs school music teacher is told in this sentimental but warm, rich and ultimately deeply moving film.

Holland (played by Richard Dreyfuss) only intends on being a teacher temporarily-you see he will be a great composer in the near future. but he needs money for himself and his very supporting wife, Iris (Glenne Headley).

He doesn't realize that it is his destiny to teach. What should be a joyous occasion, the birth of his son Cole, turns into another disappointment for Mr. Holland. His son is dear. His son will not be able to hear the brilliant...

I watch this movie again and again

Lover of quirky, unique films

I watch this movie again and again - and I usually don't like watching a movie I've already seen ---- this movie is definately an exception to my rule. It's heartwarming and moving without being sappy --- I definately recommend that you watch the movie.
