Favorable Review
The Case — I'm a big classics lover, and one of my faves is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Now, I'm not really into literary romances, but the characters in Pride and Prejudice are wonderful, especially Darcy and Elizabeth. Their relationship is fantastic. Sadly,…

Critical Review
I'm a big fan of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. I've read the book many times and watched the 1995 BBC movie version over a dozen times. I just love Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy, and the relationship between them. Because I am so fascinated with those characters, I have this…

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It is quite shocking how "hot" this book is. So beware, if you're thinking this is true to the writings of Jane Austen then you will definitely be rattled. But if you go into this thinking that Jane Austen only wrote things she knew of therefore she never wrote about sex then that'll free you up in just enjoying this thoroughly enjoyable book. The writer did stay true to Austen's biting humor and intricate stories of the character we have come to love and hate and also new characters especially the servants…

re-reading the classics
The title should have been "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife...and takes her...and takes her... and takes her again" because that seems to be the main emphasis of this book. The plot is obviously too weak to stand on its own, so the author has attempted to prop it up with sex scenes that are too graphic for the taste of this Jane Austen fan to enjoy reading. I like sex as much as the next person, but I prefer to let my imagination fill in the blanks. Some of the sex-related details given just disgusted me (the stained sheet from the wedding night, what Jane worried…

Practical, a woman, thirtysomething, not rich, an easygoing, laid-back person, chronic reader, history buff, a big fan of Pride & Prejudice
The author is daring to even attempt to follow Jane Austen but I admire what was written. Jane may have followed the same lines if she were in this century. No one will ever equal Jane Austen's writings but I applaud a well written attempt. …

This is pretty good. Although Jane Austen is #1, this is pretty good. You can't help but fall in love with Mr. Darcy. He's got this "way" about him. I love Lizzy too. I think amny women can relate to her character. She's lives the life of a regular girl who meets her prince, who first needs to change his smobby ways to win her love and affection. I reccommend this book to…
