Cons
Probably Not Good For Austen Purists, a total disappointment, author totally changes the characters, gratuitous sex scenes

The title should have been "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife...and takes her...and takes her... and takes her again" because that seems to be the main emphasis of this book.  The plot is obviously too weak to stand on its own, so the author has attempted to prop it up with sex scenes that are too graphic for the taste of this Jane Austen fan to enjoy reading.  I like sex as much as the next person, but I prefer to let my imagination fill in the blanks.  Some of the sex-related details given just disgusted me (the stained sheet from the wedding night, what Jane worried might frighten her baby, and what was running down Elizabeth's leg while she danced: yuck!).  And Mr. Bingley would never have cheated on Jane, to whom he was completely devoted.  Those of us who are interested in JA sequels read them hoping we will find something akin to the charming wit, subtle irony, and engaging characters that she created.  This book has none of those qualities; there's nothing charming, subtle, or engaging about it.  I wish JA had written the sequel to P&P herself.  If she had, it would not resemble "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife" in any way.
