Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso and Cappuccino Maker - ECM91 Review

I love lattes and have been thinking about buying the Mr. Coffee Espresso Maker for some time. When I saw that this machine just went on sale for $29.99, I gave in to the urge to own one.

I love the compact size and design of my new Mr. Coffee Espresso Maker. It does not take up a lot of counter space.

This machine is actually very easy to use making it ideal for anyone who is considering purchasing a machine like this. It is much more "user friendly" than I anticipated. It requires very few steps, from start to finish, to brew yourself the perfect latte or cappacino.

Simply add the required amount of coffee grounds to the metal filter, pour the needed amount of water into the water reservoir, and turn the dial to "brew."  At this point, you will actually hear the "steam" as the water forces itself down through the grounds, and your "shot" of espresso is released into the coffee carafe.This done, it is time now to steam your milk for your latte.

This step is actually fun! The milk is steamed and "frothed" by first adding a small amount of water to the water reservoir. Next, simply pour your milk into a container (not included). I use 1% milk. Then, holding the container of milk unter the steaming wand, turn the dial to "steam." It will take a moment for the temperature of the water to reach the steaming point. By rotating the container and allowing the steaming wand to circulate throughout your milk, you will have created a delicious "lather" of steamed milk and "froth."

Pour your espresso into a coffee mug, add flavored syrup if you prefer, and pour your steamed milk into your coffee cup. For a perfect latte, hold the "froth" back with a spoon as you pour the milk into the cup. Then, top it off with a spoonful of froth.

It is a wonderful way to bring a smile to someone's face, as you (espresso) express your love with your own creation. And, it is fun too!
