Mr. Coffee - Coffee Makers Review

I have made the choice to review under the general heading of Mr. Coffee coffee makers, as I have a few comments to make about the basic unit, which held 10 cups, and the programable units which drip out 12 cups.

We had used different types over the years, and my better half, tired of waiting for me to grind or press coffee chose to use a Hamilton Drip, this baby driped happily for years and then of course gave up the ghost.

We first replaced it with a Mr. Coffee ten cup automatic, it was on sale cheap! This bad boy quit on us one week later. I couldnt find my receipt and decided that sometimes these things happen, maybe it was just made on a friday or something. We will try again, but as coffee should taste great when you make it,maybe a little more of an investment was in order, but you know not to much of an investment.

I laid out how much we would spend this time, off to the store. Lovely choices but once again my range left me in the Mr. Coffee section again. Okay maybe one of those black, programable 12 cups at a time bad boys would do. I have faith in you Mr Coffee, you wouldnt let me down two time in a row would you?

How nice,delayed brew, and look a handy little clock on the front, how I love my clocks after all. And black is a very good choice I think because after all of the use I will get out of it, It should still look clean right? So Mr. Coffee here is your chance to make things right for this household. Help us with the coffee fix so early in the morning.

One and a half months later, Mr. Coffee, programable 12 cup coffee maker stops working. The clock is still on, but the plate doesnt get hot. And no drip,drip, fresh smell of coffee either. Oh why Mr. Coffee, what did we do to make you punish us this way, and without any warning what-so-ever.

Well I will show you,  I have a percolator from West Bend tucked away in the closet, its not let me down, and while I have given it time off now and then, its there when I need it. Thank  you West Bend, I may have to wait just a bit for the coffee but all and all you are my sweetheart.

Mr Coffee, coffee maker, you have let me down, my heart is broken. I have heard it said that three times is a charm, but I dont think I will try again. Good bye Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker 10 or 12 cups, programable or not, its over for us. Good luck to you in your future.

Others may try you and I hope you treat them well. But I know there are better days, with hot fresh coffee in hand, for me. For now lets just say I am in the market....and I do still have my West Bend stand by.
