Not a dependable coffee maker

2

We've had to replace this model twice since getting it a few years ago. I guess I don't know how long a coffee maker is supposed to last, but I did not think this coffee maker lasted as long as it should have for the price we paid. The upside about buying a coffee maker from MR Coffee was that their customer service is pretty unbeatable. We would have a different model by now if they hadn't replaced the parts that broke for free, shipped to our door. Right now, however, we are dealing with a broken piece which makes the coffee when it is brewed, come out in a stream that does not point it into the pot. We can still use it, but that is really annoying and can cause a mess. Also, when you measure 8 cups of water into the reserve, it only brews 6 or maybe 7 cups in the pot which is very frusterating.

Makes a great cup of Joe!

We have had this coffee maker for a little over two years.  We use it at least once a day, sometimes twice a day and it has never given us a bit of trouble.  Every time it makes a great tasting coffee!  I love the fact that you can make the coffee early in the morning and the carafe keeps it warm well into the evening!  It is very easy to program and this is coming from someone who is usually not so good at those kinds of things.  The coffee pot doesn't ever leak when you pour it and the coffee grounds stay in the coffee filter.  I will say that at first, I had a hard time pouring water into the machine but I eventually got used to it and now can do it easily.  When my parents come to visit, they always rave about the coffee I make...even though I use the same "brand" of coffee they use.  I think it's the coffee maker!  This coffee maker also has a clock on it and a self cleaner.  I use the cleaning function about once a week, and my coffee maker is as good as the day I brought it home!  The pot is easy to clean as are the parts.  If this one ever bites the dust, I'll be looking for one just like it!

Great features for a busy family!

When we recently had to replace our Mr. Coffee coffee pot (after it got struck by lightning), we went out and bought another of the exact same model.  It has every feature we love. Programmable Timer - I really didn't think that we would use this feature when we bought the first coffee pot, but it turned out to be so useful that it would be hard to have a coffee pot without it.  We can grind our coffee beans and add set up the pot the night before.  Makes it so much easier to start the day when you can wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee! Thermal Carafe - This thermal carafe is great.  Coffee is hot and ready to drink even several hours after brewing! I love that I can pour a second cup after lunch and it's still hot.  Size - We drink a lot of coffee and this pot is just right.  So many coffee pots with thermal carafes don't hold enough, but this generous 10-cup pot is perfect. Price - While it's not cheap, this coffee maker is a bargain considering all the features it includes.

Mr. Coffee Thermal Model ISTX95 works fine for the price

We were given a Mr. Coffee 10-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker, ISTX95 for Christmas of 2008.  We have been using it for a little over a year and have decided it works ok.  I would probably not have bought it for myself but it does have a few neat features on it.  It has a thermal carafe to help keep your coffee hot but make sure to read the instructions because you need to "prime" it beforehand.  It is an attractive coffeemaker with brushed stainless steel accents.  It does have the brewing pause and serve feature which always comes in handy.  It comes with a removable filter basket. It also shuts off after 2 hours - which I do not like but it does beep beforehand to let you know.  I do like that it has a brew strength selector on it as my husband does like a strong cup of coffee. It also has a water filtration type filter which has to be changed out every 3 -4 months.  You have to press a button to pour it - I believe it is to hold in the heat - but it is a little inconvenient.  All in all it is ok but I am still a fan of the regular Mr. Coffee with brewing pause.

MMMMM, Mr. Coffee's 10-cup coffeemaker brews tasty java!

We use our Mr. Coffee COF ISTX95 10-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker every day Monday through Friday. It can be programmed (up to 24 hours in advance) to brew at a specified time, allowing for a fabulous scented wake up call instead of using an alarm clock's annoying buzzer! It beeps when the coffee has completed brewing and again after two hours when it turns itself off. If it is still brewing, it pauses when we pour our first cup (or any thereafter). There is a window to show how much unused water is in the coffeemaker, and has a water filter that removes up to 97 percent of chlorine (we only use the filter when taking water from the tap). The brew strength selector is my favorite feature since I can make a really strong pot of joe with it. We also use a permanent coffee ground filter instead of purchasing disposable ones which decreases our waste and increases the value of our coffee. The power cord also stores in a pocket at the back of the unit which is probably my third favorite feature. Favorite feature number two is that the warming plate also has a control so we can have really hot, warm, or cool coffee depending on what we desire on any given day.

I like how quickly my Mr. Coffee brews me a cup of coffee.

I have very much enjoyed using my Mr. Coffee during the past year plus.  I really enjoy the fact that in less than two minutes I can have a fresh cup of brewed or instant coffee.I have also made tea and hot chocolate in my Mr. Coffee. It comes with a water filter, which sets on top of the filter case, which is really nice when you live in an urban area such as I do, and use well water, which has a lot of sediment at times. I thoroughly enjoy this water filter feature.  the Mr. Coffee, IS -series also has  a metal caraffe, which I really enjoy, because  I don't have to be so extremely careful when handling  and cleaning it, like when using the very thin glass caraffes. It is very easy to clean, once every 3 months or so, I just add 1 cup of white distilled vinegar  along  with enough water to fill the tank, turn it on and let it clean. Then I run  it a couple more times ,with a full water tank to ensure that all the vinegar taste is gone  For those who use city water instead of well water, you probably would only have to clean once or twice a year.
