When I first tried the Magic Eraser, I was so excited about how great it removed things from my walls.  It cuts through all sorts of things and cleans up the wall nicely.  I can do my whole house every month with one or two of them.  The one problem I have found is that on my off-white walls, the marks are gone but big smudges replace them.  They are especially noticable on my staircase.  I have not found a way to remove them.  I don't want to have to wash walls after cleaning them with a product like this.  I guess  it's better to have off-white smudges than the black marks that were there from moving furniture into my home but I would rather have neither.
