I could have done just as well with dish soap and a sponge.

Pros

It is two products in one.

Cons
It's cost is too much for it's lifespan.

I bought Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, because I have a creative toddler who sometimes gets paint and crayon on the walls, windows, and the floors. (Most of the time, on purpose!) I had seen the advertisements, and thought the Magic Eraser would be a great 1 step cleaner that I could use with a small bit of elbow grease. Unfortunately, it took as much elbow grease and scrubbing to get the washable crayon marks off the windows and walls as a regular sponge with dish detergent. Also, after one use, there wasn't much left for a second use. I was hoping that each sponge would last longer considering that a package cost nearly $4. I will not buy Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser again.

The ONE thing these are good for is cleaning fireplace screen. Nothing else will clean it without leaving stuff behind. I buy it for that reason only. Jo

I had the same problem -- the sponge fell apart in my hands after just one use!
