Cary Grant plays a slick city slicker advertising man who moves his family to the country.

Just about anything and everything goes wrong with the building ofhis brand new home in this laugh out loud, very very funny comedy.   (Highlight:  Myrna Loy  describing room colors)

Myrna Loy and Melvyn Douglas provide the perfect support for Grant who has rarely been this funny.

Forget Tom Hanks in  The Money Pit,  (the unofficial re-make) this is the one that delivers the laughs.

I love Cary Grant! I also enjoy watching old movies and am always looking for a good one. Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House is one of the few that I have in my DVD collection and pull out from time to time. You can watch it again and again and it never gets old. Adorable Cary Grant is timeless and witty Myrna Loy is wonderful opposite him in this delightful old film. From the bathroom scene in their apartment to the meeting with the architect to the well drilling and old Mr. Zuckerman, I promise you won't stop laughing. Unfortunately, they just don't make movies like they used to!
