Like every Windows computer user I was stuck with the horrific browser that microsoft gave us. I liked being able to click on a tab to change windows, rather than go to the tool bar and change widows entirely.

What it is

Firefox is a free browser that utilizes tabbed windows, which means you only open...

I installed Firefox and at first I thought it was good.  Then it started to freeze up my Computer.

My Computer is alittle over a year old so it wasn't the AGE of the computer, But rather a compatability issue I think.  I wasn't thrilled and have since turned back to the regular Windows IE.  Sorry...

When I first bought my laptop, it came with the general internet explorer as a browser.  I absolutely hate it.  It's very basic to me, not very much room to make it my own.  A frend of mine referred me to the mozilla site to download Firefox.  As soon as I got it, I admit, I was a little confused, as is anyone with a new toy.  But it was extremely easy to get used to.  I absolutely loved the bookmarks toolbar feature where I could line up extremely important links such as the bank, emails, resume sites, bills to be paid online, etc.  They even have the icons set by the site for easy reference... review »

I've tried every bowser. I'm always looking for the best. I am a heavy-duty internet surfer and demand performance in a browser. Although not perfect ....... easily the best performing. Firefox tends to hog resources but this infraction doesn't seem to have caused major problems. Since using Firefox ....... problems with malware, trojans and malicious web site behavior has been minimal. It has been much easier to keep clean from all the problems than IE. The extensions and plug-ins are a great way to "have it your way". Security updates are prompt and non-intrusive. Greatest accomplishment in an... review »

Mozilla FireFox is probably the best internet browser out there. In fact, it IS the best one out there. It's more safe than Internet Explorer, and runs alot faster. So, use FireFox for all your browsing needs, and you will need another one! It runs with Windows XP, so you will not have to worry about if they may clash with each other or not!

My Experience
I have been using this browser since its first beta was launched i got that one from my friend and i likeed it very much, since then i have made a CD having this browser as wherever i access the net i need this browser as without it surfing the net is very boring experience and i also feel unsecure.
This browser is just a legend in itself woth its amazing stabality, security and speed it has fast replaced the old-fashoined Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox is quite possibly one of the best things that could have happened to computers. It's destroyed the belief that Microsoft's Internet Explorer is the one and only browser and has opened up the world of alternative software to not only computer geeks, but to normal everyday people.

This software is better than Internet Explorer (IE) because it's faster, safer, and best of all, it's completely customizable. Its open-source architecture makes all of these things possible. The customization is endless; you can install various plugins (known as add-ons), to make Firefox your very own. You...

Since so many great reviews are already out there, I'll just leave a basic one.  Before firefox I had to suffer with long loading times, absolutely no ability to customize, and being forced to open window after window.  I was an IE user.  A chapter of my life I'm glad to close.  With firefox I now get tabbed browsing and add-ons that not only make my life easier but make surfing the internet enjoyable again.   The only problem left for me was the  sites that only worked in IE.  But of course the people who create the add-ons even came up with a great solution to this problem.  The point... review »

On recommendation of someone at a movie fest I switched to Mozilla Firefox and made myself keep using it, until I realized that it was preventing me from accessing certain areas and also it would not let me save data I would put in word and altered and reposted on sites every day- in IE I would get columns and in MF it would jumble it all together with codes.  Also caused crashed.  Eventually I deleted MF and went back to IE and have had no problems ever since.  So either MF is doing something to users of MF or or MF is just over rated and people just itching to use something other than IE-... review »

The best add-on is downloadhelper. Forget about paying for media capture programs this feebie works better. A great bowser all around.  The only fault is than some sites, very few, will work with IE only.  Like Netflix's view now movies.  So do keep IE as a backup.  But the things you can add to this bowser are amazing.   I  was alittle  slow  changing this to my daily bowser as I  had  cut my  teeth on the  internet with IE  but  once I  used it  it was  so much better then IE  or Netscape  I  wouldn't  go back.  Take it and see.

This is by far one of the best browers i have ever used. just to get you an idea about the worth of firefox i would say if you look at firefox and how it works then look at both IE 7.0 and OSX brower you will see they have changed to look and feel just like firefox. Don't go with a copy cat go the source with firefox. make sure you add some add-ons also because then you will get the most out of the browser like stopping ads and pop ups. Get rid of the other browsers and use the one that rules them all. FIREFOX.

I am a PC to Mac convert. However, Macs are expensive. I work in human services so I don't have much money. I have to buy my macs used. I have an Imac G3 running Tiger at 400 MHZ and a clamshell laptop running Jaguar at 366 MHZ. Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator are hell on the old OS and old macs. Even Safari 1.0 gives my clamshell a hard time. Not Firefox! It works well on my old macs. I can access Google docs and any site I like.
I love Firefox. It is fast and trouble free!

Firefox is a great browser for surfing the internet.  It's fast, and easy to navigate from one website to another.  It's even better easier to use than "Internet Explorer" in my opinion.

Firefox really is making my life so much more convenient. I have it on my personal computer as well as on the computers at school, and its personalization makes it so nice to use.  The only down part is that there isnt really a good way to look at the history conveniently, it just lists it out and doesn't put it into different days like some other internet access applicaitons.  I have a few add ons, such as cool-iris which allows me to view pictures on a website alone, without the rest of the website showing and shows thousands of pictures without having to wait too long to load.  Mine also...
