I was a big Star Trek fan when the show was in first-run episodes in the 1960s on NBC. I could not believe the idiotic network cancelled the show after three years. The funny thing is that I've seen a couple of these old episodes lately and they were really hokey.

Then I really got into the later incarnations of Star Trek, including ST: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Enterprise looks particularly good in HD. However, my favorite of all these series is The Next Generation -- it holds up very well in re-runs.

I've liked many other shows over the years, including Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Ally McBeal, MASH, Home Improvement and Seinfeld. Current faves are Ugly Betty and Monk, the latter of which has a very odd schedule. Oh, and there's a British car show that is hilarious and fascinating called Top Gear. I've gotten into that lately.
