I'm sure there are more, but can't think of them right now.

I was a big Star Trek fan when the show was in first-run episodes in the 1960s on NBC. I could not believe the idiotic network cancelled the show after three years. The funny thing is that I've seen a couple of these old episodes lately and they were really hokey.

Then I really got into the later incarnations of Star Trek, including ST: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Enterprise looks particularly good in HD. However, my favorite of all these series is The Next Generation -- it holds up very well in re-runs.

I've liked many other shows over the years, including Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Ally McBeal, MASHHome Improvement and Seinfeld. Current faves are Ugly Betty and Monk, the latter of which has a very odd schedule. Oh, and there's a British car show that is hilarious and fascinating called Top Gear. I've gotten into that lately.

I watch a lot of those shows still today :-D

Growing up my #1 show was Boy Meets World.  Cory was around the same age as me so every season I could watch and relate to it :)

#2 Was Home Improvement b/c I watched it all the time with my dad and I still think that show is hilarious.

Finally, the simpsons comes in at #3, Loved it, love it still.

A movie that I could not wait to see when I was growing up was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I loved the movie's set and storyline and it felt like Christmas was almost there once it played. Frosty was up there on my list too. Once I was older, I added Christmas Vacation to the list.

I liked Happy Days and re-runs of The Munsters and The Three Stooges.  Favorite cartoons were Looney Tunes ( Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn. etc...)   The Flintstones, and Scooby Doo.  At one time The Wizard of Oz was shown once/year on TV and I liked seeing that, except the Flying Monkeys kinda freak me out.

As a kid, I used to love the cartoon Digimon. I already just loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, those were my favorites for a long time. Now I like Supernatural, which is pretty similar to those. My tastes haven't changed!

Most stuff from the 60s and back is far superior to anything now. I don't even bother with TV unless it's a baseball game or a movie.

I knew at the time that Desilu was the studio run by Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball... I hope they got some good money for Star Trek when they sold the operation to Paramount. They probably didn't, though.

Top Gear is a lot of fun and it's the sort of male show that women seem to enjoy a lot. There's always lots of women in the studio audience, and they occasionally have a woman as the celebrity driver -- one I saw recently had Helen Mirren as the driver. Anybody reading this should check out an episode of Top Gear on BBC America.

Okay, so this is the place where we can go crazy with a list.  I grew up with parents that supervised television viewing and we didn't have TV's in our room so everything we watched was as a family or while my dad was out of town.  Here goes:

LHOP, Waltons, Alice, C.H.I.P.S., BJ and the Bear, Saturday cartoons, Lawrence Welk Show, Wonderful World of Disney (the Sunday night movie), Mutual Omaha Wild Kingdom, Capt. Kangaroo, Brady Bunch, Bewitched, Facts of Life, Growing Pains, Charlie's Angels, Saved by the Bell, Full House, Family Matters, Sanford & Son, All In the Family, The Jeffersons and Good Times, Gilligans's Island, Hawaii Five-O, Magnu P.I., The Mickey Mouse Club, Rocky Road, Safe At Home, Charles In Charge, Wonder Woman, Incredible Hulk, WWF on Saturdays, Touched By An Angel, Dukes of Hazzard, My Two Dads, Step By Step, Dallas, Knots Landing, Knight Rider, Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Greatest American Hero, Laverne & Shirley, Designing Women, Three's Company, The Carol Burnette Show, Mork & Mindy, Alf, Tom & Jerry Show, Punky Brewster, Happy Days, Golden Girls, My Two Dads, Who's The Boss, Rainbow Brite, Smurfs, The Gong Show, Family Ties, Gomer Pyle, Leave It To Beaver, Andy Griffith Show, Beverly Hillbillies, I Dream of Jeannie and The Honeymooners...If it was wholesome we could watch it.

Every Christmas we watched all of the Christmas classic cartoons (Frosty, Rudolph...).  We also watched Wizard Of Oz, Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang every Christmas.  My family would watch It's A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th street but I didn't like those.  They also loved The Twilight Zone but the music alone was enough to creep me out!

Does anyone remember the tv show from the 80s in which a nun lives in a children's home?  Amy Grant sang the opening song that ended with "Maybe an angel's watching over you."  And my Daddy was furious when in one year they introduced and cancelled: Safe At Home, Rocky Road, and Down To Earth after just one season.  Does anyone remember those?

Today I love watching all the above in syndication as well as Touched By an Angel, 7th Heaven, the Nanny, and Reba.
