Do you think all potatoes are created equal? I used to think so, but that was back when my dad grew them. They were fabulous.

Now I buy potatoes, and I've had good potatoes and bad potatoes. Bad potatoes really tick me off. Who wants to buy potatoes, peel potatoes, cook potatoes and have yucky potatoes?

Some potatoes are too soft. They turn to mush when cooked. Soup with soft potatoes tastes awful. Soft make flabby French fries too. I know about these potatoes, because I've bought my share of them.

The worst potatoes I've bought were stinky potaotes. Yes. It must be like one bad apple spoiling the whole batch. I got a bag with a rotten potato, and boy those smelled bad. Gaggy bad. I had to throw out the bag.

I happened across great potatoes at Wal-Mart (which is not my favorite store - too busy - too big). I'll even go to Wal-Mart just to buy Mountain King potatoes. They ARE that good.

Mountain King is so sure of their potatoes that they offer a guarantee. You can see it on the photo I put up. WOW! I've never seen a guarantee on potatoes.

I'm almost tempted to get in touch with Mountain King Potatoes to see what they'd say, but the potatoes are perfect. And, I'd never fib.

If you want great potatoes, then it's usually hit or miss. Some bags are good. Some are not. Mountain King potatoes are spot on.

You may pay a little more (or maybe not), but it's better to get good food than to throw up stuff that is not so good. I've found Mountain King to be average on price to low with sales. I'd much rather pay a fair price than buy the rock bottom potatoes and then end up throwing them out.

These potatoes also make delicious pan fried Southern potatoes. They're easy to make and really yummy. See my recipe at Cooking Help Web:
