Mott's - Plus Antioxidants Pomengranate Apple Sauce —

I am crazy about the flavor of pomegranates and admire the beauty of the fruit, however I just am not patient enough to cope with all those seeds! So I cheer for anything which contains pomegranate juice ... Pomegranate Martinis, sorbets, whatever. To that list we can now add Mott's Plus Antioxidants Pomegranate Apple Sauce. The package contains four small plastic cups of rosy colored sauce which is not quite as sweet as regular apple sauce, refreshingly tart without being sour. This is a painless, pleasurable way to help stoke up on protective antioxidants.

STATS:

The contents of one cup equals one serving which contains 50 calories with zero calories from fat. There are zero each total, saturated, and trans fat, zero each cholesterol and sodium, 70 mg. potassium, 13 grams total carbs, one gram each dietary fiber and soluble fiber, zero insoluble fiber, and zero protein. In addition, there are 10% (D.V.) each Vitamins A and E and 25% Vitamin C.

TASTE TIP:

Mott's Plus Antioxidants Pomegranate Apple Sauce makes a great condiment when served with meat, especially roast pork or baked or grilled Eckrich Lite Sausage. A small dish of this apple sauce is also a perfect snack or dessert and easy to take along for a brown bag lunch.

I too love pomegranate. I haven't seen this in the stores but I will keep my eyes out. It sounds like a nice twist on an old favorite.

Aren't kids wonderful about being resilient and bouncing back from things? After all that trouble last time, they want to travel again, God bless them! If that ever happens again, God forbid, you be sure and complain to the airline. It doesn't matter what you paid -- I flew almost for free to California but I expected to be treated like a human being and BOY they would have heard from me if it had been otherwise! Oh yes, and they are already to go again! My daughter talked to grandma the other day, said I love grandma (made grandma cry of course) and then drug out her child size wheeled backpack/suitcase and said, "Let's go airplane see grandma!" Out of the mouths of babes, but gosh, I was just there!

I really liked it -- of course, it can't hold a candle to a Pomegranate Martini!
