No one can accuse the folks at Mott's, Incorporated, of not taking apple-related products seriously. Clearly, a lot of creative thinking has gone into their Mott's Plus Apple Sauce products. In addition to Mott's Plus Antioxidants Pomegranate Apple Sauce, here's another winner: Mott's Plus Harvest Apple Sauce with added Calcium and Vitamin C. Like most commercially prepared apple sauce, it will never take the place of the homemade stuff, but nevertheless Mott's Plus Harvest Apple Sauce has a lot going for it. Like the other Mott's apple sauce products, it is refreshing in taste and not too sweet. You would never guess that this is something that was engineered to be healthy for you but it is. The 3.9 oz. plastic cups make this perfect for a convenient quick pick-up snack or a complement to some luscious Autumn dinner.
STATS:
The contents of a plastic cup is considered to be a single serving which contains 50 calories with no calories from fat. There are zero each total, saturated and trans fat, zero each cholesterol and sodium, 70 mg. Potassium, 13 grams total carbs, one gram each dietary and soluble fiber, 11 grams sugars, 25% (D.V.) Vitamin C and 10% Calcium.
TASTE TIP:
Mott's Plus Harvest Apple Sauce with added Calcium and Vitamin C should be served chilled but is best when removed from the fridge about ten minutes before being served. Add a dash of cinnamon!
