motorola i290 boost phone

this motorola i290 boost phone was an okay phone i think it was like one of the first upgradeds from the original boost phone. it was one of the first phones that ever came out.. it is a flat phone without a full keyboard... it is just a basic phone for people who don't really care for all the extra features that boost offers... because not everyone cares much about features belive it or not some people just like to have a cell phone to be able talk when they need to get a hold of someone or someone needs to get a hold of them.. this phone can easily fit into your pocket so it might be a good phone for someone who needs a phone on the job while they are working and they got alot going on this phone can easily be stored for easy acess when they need it in their back pocket.. this phone i can remember gets pretty descent signal as well..i would'nt recommend this phone for people who like to text.

My Motorola i290 is a great phone, especially for this price...

My Motorola i290 is one of my favorite phones! This is an awesome surprise- it was the second cheapest prepaid phone I could find. I love the shape and the controls. I am usually partial to flip phones, but I think this phone looks pretty cool. It's thin and sleek, although it sticks out of my pocketbook-purse. It also doesn't fit in most of the cell pockets I tried when I first got it, although it would probably slip into an iphone/itouch-type case (with some extra room on the sides). It is pretty small, too- only a little bigger than, say, and ipod nano (sorry about all the apple references- I'm not even an apple person- but you know what they look like, don't you?) OK, so I'll admit- I get really excited over the little things in life. When I realized this phone had the special spanish characters, I was immediately sure I had choosen the right phone. I understand, most of the features are common, expected features, but may I mention that this phone much more impressive than the other phones my local store was selling by it's side. (If I can throw in another tip: this phone is compatible with BoostMobile, and if you want prepaid, I highly recommend boost. Their rates are about half the price of most of the other prepaids I've seen. And the balance/minute packs last about 2-3 times as long before they expire)

i bought a boost phone a little over six months ago and this was one of two that they had available, and i liked the pre=paid thing, too many times under a contract have i been charged for things i did not even understand.  Well, i paid a lot for a phone like this and what is so irritating is that they have now, less then i believe 3 months later released several new up to date phones and unlike like contract phones you don't get to upgrade or get a new phone every year or 2, you have to pay for it.  So on that note, not happy at all, plus if you have a sprint account for one thing and try to call them from your boost phone, they won't let you go to sprint they redirect you to boost, always, making that an even longer process then usual.  But I must say, that I drop my phone on a daily basis, if not twice a day and it is still going strong.  But having the web on it does no good because it goes too slow and you get no where after you wait so long to try and not always do you get your texts, so I would recommend getting their more updated phone or going with a contract, but be firm on your terms.
