Motorola - V325 Cell Phone Review Summary

A cell phone with mixed reviews overall, the Motorola V325 Cell Phone is a phone with sophistication but not necessarily durability. This cell phone from Motorola is liked for its colorful display, compact size, digitial camera, and generally clear sound. But feelings are mixed with the Motorola V325 Cell Phone with comments that range from “This Phone is the Best Working Cell Phone I’ve Ever Owned” to “Overall, Great as a Cheap Phone, but not One of my Favorites” to “Does not Hold up Under Regular use- Limping to the end of Contract”. Problems with this cell phone include its below average camera, its tendency to lose its battery charge rather quickly, and its problem with dropping calls. With a record like this, it isn’t surprising that the Motorola V325 Cell Phone ranks as an average Cell Phone and it may not be suitable for all users.

Motorola V325 is a good cell phone that offers more than enough features to satisfy the most technologically savvy individual. This phone offers all the features expected in a modern cell phone plus a little bit more. It has the ability to access the internet, instant message, and other capabilities...

Liked the phone, great when I moved and didn't have much money to spend at the time.  Took a lot of beatings, ran over it once, dropped in the water several times, dropped from my hands or off of tables a lot, thrown when frustrated, etc.  Lighting display was bright, numbers were big.  Loud alarm, but sound from the ear side and speaker phone were too soft at times.  Wasn't horribly ugly or old looking, but it wasn't thin or in style either.  Fit well in my purse, a luttle chubby but clip on worked fine for tiny purses.  Fit cheaper cases from walmart when I broke the clips that came from... review »

I have been through three if these phones in the last 18  months.  Their life expectancy appears to be about 6 months.  Battery life is about same (as in - you have to buy a new batter for the darn thing about every 6 months).

I use an earpiece.  On the second phone, the earpiece evidently caused the phone to auto dial the last number I called - repeatedly... about once every 3 to 4 seconds.  Am suspicious that current phone has done same.

All three of these have had a tendency to lock up (Can't dial or get it to even turn on.).  Cold booting it (taking the battery out) didn't...

Then Verizon Wireless may just have an answer for you with its new Motorola V325. The handset takes full advantage of Verizon's newest network offering, called VZ Navigator. It offers a respectable alternative to Nextel's TeleNav GPS service, complete with voice-activated turn-by-turn directions, maps, and an extensive points-of-interest database. The V325's design could use some improvements, and we lament the lack of Bluetooth, but the phone's feature set and quality performance still should appeal mostly to the practical business user who prefers functionality in a relatively compact handset.... review »

My daughter and I both have this phone. We got them when we upgraded my Verizon wireless account to add her. We just needed a basic, reliable phone, without a lot of bells and whistles.

We both use them regularly, she far more than I, yet we are both careful with them. Hers has been replaced three times for quality issues - running very, very slowly; and then turning off for no reason and without warning.

Now we are both facing an issue in which we are having difficulty charging them. Batteries have been replaced - it is not a battery issue. We are both getting an "unauthorized charger" error message...

I've had this type of phone for almost exactly two years now and have had to replace either the phone itself or the battery more times that I can remember. I was extremely happy with the phone for the first few months, then the battery began giving me trouble. I would not hold a charge AT ALL. The weird thing was, that I could text on the phone almost all day but as soon as I began actually talking on it, it would die within a matter of minutes. Not only was this VERY frustrating, but I was not getting any answers from Verizon either.

I was given a new phone but that did not solve the problem....

This phone is awful, I have had mine for a little over a year and about 6 months ago it started falling apart. Even Motorola said it is garbage, but they wont do anything about it. My charge started to drop when I downloaded ringtones, changed my mind and took them off so found out that it has nothign to do with my ringtones. I had at one time used a bluetooth with this phone, then my husband took my earpiece for awhile and now the darn thing will not connect to the phone. I have even tried the "master reset" and it wont do a thing. the original code does not work, so that being said the phone...

I got my phone just a little over a year ago. I went to the store to get a phone that was simple but yet the features that I needed.  I found this phone it was just a little more then I wanted to spend but I took the chance.  I love this phone.    It has all the features that I wanted. Web, text, and I could download ring tones and much more. I have told many of my friends about this phone. The sound is clear and I never guess what other people are saying to me.. If something would ever happen to this phone I would replace it would the same thing. I would have to say  to anyone who is looking...

I got my phone for free for renewing my contract and that is the reason I love my phone so much, because it was free.  There is one thing I don't like about it though, and this seems to be the issue with pretty much all cell phones on the market.  I don't like how the call button is on the left side and the hang up button is on the right side.  On my old cell phone, a Nokia, it was the other way around.  It was my first cell phone so that is what I got used to.  But oh well, I just have to learn to adapt.  Other than that, I love my phone because it was free and it is mine.  It doesn't have... review »

I have had my motorola for almost two years. It doesn't have alot of bells and whistles but it gets the job done. It is my only phone, no home phone, so I depend on it alot. The sound is great, and the screen is clear and colorful. It also takes pictures, not very great ones but just for tooling around is ok. As far as the battery life, it is fine until it gets cold outside. Once it gets cold it will lose the charge rapidly. It is not a small phone, but it does fit nicely into my purse and bike bag. Speaking of biking my phone has taking a beating, falling from my bike as well as table tops, but...

I purchased my phone over a year ago. I have gotten so much use out of my phone. I can truly say this cell phone has been the best cell phone I've owned. I have had no problems with my phone losing service or disconnecting while I'm in the middle of a call as I've had with other phones. This phone has many functions which I find very useful in my busy life. Bluetooth capability, text and picture messaging, IM service, camera and video recorder, a built in date book that helps me keep up with my hectic schedule. Who could ask for more? This phone has definitely proved useful to me. You wouldn't... review »

I don't know if it my service or the phone but I see many people using their phones in the stores and I can't. Very limited zoning. Very simple to use. No major high tech fancy things on this phone. It takes a very long time to get my messages, also. Then when it ask if I want to delete this massage I will say yes, I find it in the erase messages file. then I try to erase that and it goes into another file, before it is erased completely. The Text messages will lonly hold 100 messages. after that it will say box is filled. If I empty it then I have no idea how many text I have used for the month.... review »

I was skeptical at first about this cell phone, however, after deciding to purchase it, I found it very user-friendly.  This phone takes fairly good pictures and has many options that I like.  I have recently been offered a different phone but I decided to keep this one as I have had no problems with it unlike some of my other friends who have purchased different phones and are always taking them back to get them repaired or who are complaining that they cannot hear the other person and have difficulty finding the settings to change their preferences.  I highly recommend this phone!

For those that are just starting out with a cell phone, I found that this was very easy to operate.  I was able to find my way around in my cell phone with little problems.  It is very easy to transport around and store.  Being able to download to it was also a very likable feature for me.  I did find myself having to recharge my phone about every other day but my phone is my sole use for tallking and communicating .  The compactness of it is a very likeable feature and with it flipping opening and shut it gives the added feature of the keys being protected which I like alot.
