Landline quality reception
This is a good phone for someone who wants a phone and not a toy. It has serious reception and works in places other phones won't. I know because I work in pools and I'm on the road all day rain or shine. I use the phone about 3000 minutes a month and have very few dropped calls. The noise cancellation technology really works, even with loud pumps running in the background. I don't think there is a phone that can offer better talk quality. I have about 500 phone numbers in my address book and it's conveniently backed up on my PC with the Motorola Phone Tools software. Although it's a basic phone, it's still smart enough that you can install and use apps. I installed Opera Mini and it browses the Internet well. I also installed Trekbuddy, a free gps app. You can install maps of your city and use the GPS for free! But good luck getting it to work! For help, go to modmymoto . com I put my phones through the hardcore treatment and can say the Tundra is good. I did manage to break a tundra, so I don't know how "military tough" it is? When it broke I was considering the Sonim because it is the worlds toughest phone, but it's a lot more expensive and reviews say the Tundra has better talk quality. I ended up buying another Tundra because of the "Crystal Talk" and because it's easy to restore my address book. I think it's hard to find a better phone when you work in the field.
