Motorola Razr From Telus
I absolutely hated this phone from the time I got it. I had wanted it from the first time it came out, and I finally got a chance to get it. My friends had warned me about the quality, but I just figured they hadn't taken care of it - an electronic is only as good as the operator. I figured I wouldn't have a problem.
Problems started a few weeks after I got it.
The picture texting was horrible. I would send my picture out, and the person would recieve it, but in my outbox, it would still say sending. I couldn't cancel it, I couldn't empty my outbox when my texts were getting full. I had to resort to taking the battery off after each time I sent a picture so it would cancel itself and I could empty my outbox so I could recieve texts if my boxes were full.
Responding to picture messages wasn't good either. Not always, but a few pictures I responded to, the responses wouldn't send; or even worse - a couple of my responses got stuck in my outbox. On the razr I had, you couldn't lock messages in the outbox, but somehow they locked themselves? You couldn't delete them, you couldn't unlock them.. When you tried to delete them you were greeted with a 'cannot delete locked message' notification. So those responses stayed in my outbox for eternity.
Saving picture messages sucked too. I wanted to save the pictures that came in to my album - not likely. You have to option to, but it tells you that the pictures are 'too big'. The camera on the actual phone takes pictures 1024 x 768 and the pictures I was recieveing were smaller than that.. Where's the mystery? We don't know.
Text messages got stuck. Constantly. Coming in, going out.. I'd end up not getting any for a couple hours, and then about ten of them all at once - or the person I was talking to would recieve all ten of mine at once. Going back to the picture messages, it would take hours.. Hours for the picture message to come into my phone, and hours to get to where they were supposed to go.
One good thing about it that I can say, is I almost always had good cell service, where others on the same phone service didn't. I could talk through back roads and tree lines and stones and never had a crackle or a problem.
All and all, I wish I had never bought the phone. It was a huge pain, and I had it less than eight months before I bought a new phone. It irritated me so much that I couldn't stand having it anymore. My suggestion, stay away from them.
