Overall the Q has promise, but falls a little short on promises

willing to pay for quality, fan of hassle-free toys, a lover of unique gadgets, expecting good, fair service, appreciative of good service

Overall I like the Q. It's a great phone but promised much more, that I don't think it delivered. I was looking for something to combine my PDA and phone and the Q looked like it would fit the bill. The first thing I noticed was the battery life was terible. The battery would only last about half a day with moderate use. After upgrading to a extended life battery it had no problem staying on for about two days without charging. Another thing that has been happening often lately is after a night on the charger the battery isn't charged. I believe its because the data/charging port is becoming worn and loose. Not good on a phone that is less than a year old. Next I setup my email, well I thought I did anyway. I can recieve email but I can't send. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work properly but to no avail. I should mention I am a techy and not new to this sort of task. Heck I own my own hosting company, where the email server is located. The last problem I have with the phone, I would guess is more a problem with the Windows based OS. That is the phone will just act-up and the only way to correct the problem will be to remove the battery and restart the phone. I believe it has something to do with the resources becoming too low. I love the way the phone looks and feels in my hand. Nice big screen, good keyboard and great sound quality. Browsing the internet is very good as well, most websites display fairly well on the screen. Now I know it seems from this review that I have more problems with this phone than positives, but I don't. I love my phone, it just is not perfect. I submit this review to let people the phones shortcomings while still saying that it works great and I love it.
