Nice for a while

Well at first the phone seems great and works fine, but then once you use if for about a month or twwo you have to clean it constantly, the screen attracts grease and dirt of your fingers like a magnet. It eventually gets as slow as well a legless grandmother. It doesn't have much to it and the text messages get cancled all the time even if it has no reason (full signal and closed at a suitable time). On that note too picture messages (audio and others) take forever to recieve and send. It loses signal all the time. It has no flash as well and the camera quality looks fine until you take the picture then it magically goes blurred. It also has a 20 second video span which is a massive pain when recording something. Although the microphone on it was semi good quality. Other than that it is a terrible phone with many many problems with it. I wanted to break mine all the time. Wish motorola would have done better

The Motorola Krave

4

When I first got a cell phone, my father got me a generic phone, one that was really popular and everyone had it... I couldn't wait to get a new phone, something unique, something *cool*. So, I started doing my research, so I'd be all set when the 2 year contract was up. I cam across the Motorola Krave, and instantly fell in love with the idea. A double touch screen concept, a headphone jack, a camera (with the actual button, in a camera-like location), and a qwerty keyboard. When my contract was finally up, these phones were getting old and kind of cheap... But I had already done my research, and I didn't want to pick something new, I was in love with this phone. After I got home, I found that this phone has a great battery life, but the touchscreen isn't always that great... When you try to type something, it often thinks you want something else... In the past few months (I've had this phone for over a year now) the texting has gotten terrible... But my contract is almost up, so it's ok. And also, it has good call quality, but I don't tend to call much, so that doesn't really affect me... All in all, for the time I've had it, this has been a great phone and suited my needs almost perfectly. Also, yes, this phone doesn't have a flash on the camera, but who really needs that anyway?

I hated it.

I was extremely disappointed.  The phone looks beautiful. Looking at the pictures and video previews of it only made me want it more. So I got one. Boy was it buggy.  Being that I am on Verizon, there were (at the time), limited options for a touchscreen phone that looked as nice as the iPhone. This was, in my opinion, on par with it. However, the iPhone was (is?) leaps and bounds ahead of the pack for its touchscreen technology.  Whenever I try calling or texting with this phone, it seems to always "sense" a different button being touched than what I had intended, resulting it tedious corrections. All. The. Time. There was no keypad. All hope was lost. It got to the point where I was so frustrated, I didn't text nor make phone calls anymore. I had the phone for about a month before I was so fed up, I felt like throwing it against a brick wall, just to see this miserable thing shatter into pieces. I upgraded to a Samsung flip phone with keypad, and swore I'd never get another touchscreen again. Until the VZ iPhone gets released, that is! Rejoice, its almost here!

The Motorola Krave ZN4 is a phone I wouldn't reccomend to use.

The Motorola ZN4 Krave is a phone I would not reccomend you to use if you are not used to using a touch screen. I purchased this phone about two months ago and am very disappointed with its quality. I like to text a lot and this phone makes it hard to do that. I experienced my phone randomly turning off while texting and also having the screen stop working for me. When the screen stopped working, I found the only way to get it to work again was to turn my phone off and then back on a few times. I also do not like the keyboard for texting. I have found the best way to use it though would be to turn my phone to the side so it is a full keyboard and type from there. If I had the choice I would go back in time and pick out a new phone, one of the old crappy ones that were made five years ago. I would rather use one of those than this one I am currently stuck with. However, if you are fine with a phone that works with such bad quality, by all means, go ahead and buy it.

Nice concept, poor execution

Okay, a phone I hoped would be as nice in responsiveness as my iPod Touch, but it let me down.  I have had this phone now for almost 2 years, but didn't like it after the first month.  Loved the concept of a flip phone with touch features, but Motorola didn't do a good job at the sensitivity of this phone.  Another feature that causes problems is utilizing the touch function while on a call.  This can be so finnicky at times that it frustrates the heck out of me.  In my personal opinion if they're still selling this phone anywhere online, don't purchase this.  I'm sure that there are many nicer products available, but save your money and don't buy this one.

Looks cool. Touch screen is finicky to say the least.

Still have this phone to this day.  Ive gotten many compliments and wowed stares from friends who cant believe they can use the touch screen through the exterior flip top.  It looks cool. But has limited access in that mode. On a hot day, don't expect to use the phone's touch screen, there will be too much sweat and the screen will tweek out.  Bottom line is it looked cool at the store, but it is just a nuisance, especially to text on.

Looks nicer than it is functional

I was extremely excited about the look of the phone as well as the touch screen (when the phone first came out).  The thought of the "coolness" of the touchscreen coupled with the function of the cover (no pocket dialing) was very appealing.  The phone gets many compliments on how neat it looks, etc.  Unfortunately, I've had a few issues with the entire screen freezing up.  Not a huge hassle .... yet.  It's happened maybe 3 times in a year.  But, don't try typing if it's extremely hot or cold out, or if your fingers are the least bit damp or greasy.  Occasionally, even if the temp is fine and your hands are clean & dry, some of the characters just do not feel like cooperating anyway.  I don't think I'd ever try to call 911 with this phone, I'd grab my old model phone with real buttons which is supplied by my employer first.
