Motorola - E51 MD7161-3 Trio Cordless Phone —

You get what you pay for. This is a cheap unit, for short term use. I had a base unit and 4 satellite handsets. Every single one of the handsets developed contact buttons that stopped working within 6 months of purchase. The warrenty replacement units did the same thing. I would never suggest anyone buy this product. The frustration of having the "5" button or the "answer/send" button not work consistantly is very stressful, and in the case of an emergency, deadly.

In response to RudiXeno's comment from May 11, 2008 at 8:17PM:

The warranty period is for one year on major components, and I am going to buy the offered extended warranty because of the bad experiences with Uniden phones failing. I expect this unit to last because of the consumer reviews written by others give it a better long term outlook. If this unit does not perform up to expectations, I will be sure to report back, warranty or not.

How long is the warranty period?
