Phone hangs up if you don't make noise at it continually. Phone has clarity enough to hear background noise. Phone messaging is odd and hard to set up and get into but easy to use once set up. Menus are easy to opperate and settings are easy to personalize. The range of options that come with the phone are limited but sufficient. There are only 4 decent ringtones.

As a Verizon customer, the Motorola VU204 cell phone is a good choice for those of you who want just a basic cell phone, and little nothing else. The VU204 comes with the standard cheapy 640x480 camera that really does not take great pictures, but I suppose is better than no camera at all. There are no real apps or games that you can add to the device, unless you wish to pay the hefty price for them, as the phone is quite locked down and hard to access via the PC connection. Texting is also what you can expect on the standard number pad. Very basic phone. But this is what the VU204 excels at, is just being a cell phone. Battery life is exceptional. Some reviews mention that the flip feature of the phone is flimsy, and I do believe that as my wife's VU204 literally started to come apart at the seams after about a year of daily use. My phone, in a leather case never had this issue, so I do recommend this phone, but make sure you protect it!

I have owned my verizon phone for 2 years now, and I have no real complaints about it.  I rarely drop calls with it, I usually get better signal than other phones.  The cell phone came free with the plan, and its done its job very well.  The picture quality isn't the best.  But you can't expect much from a dinosaur generation phone.  When traveling it fits in my pockets very well.  Its light, and very durable.  When I've dropped it, its never fallen apart.  Its a very durable phone for the price.  Its not like one of the other high tech phones when you drop they bust into millions of pieces.  This is tough, and works great.  Soon, I'll be upgrading and saying goodbye to this phone.  Which is a shame, because its served me so well these past few years.  It also comes with blue tooth capabilities, which is good for the increasing laws.  Thanks you for reading my review and happy hunting folks.

i had this phone for 2 years and i think its got some pretty cool features although it could use some improvements.. its got cool ringtomes and text and its even got voice command . thats what i love about it.. you put the numbers in your phone and after your done press botton on the side and tell the phone who to call.. it will ask you if you said the name it thought you said and if they got more then just one number itll ask you what location and then call it automaticly for you.. its got a camera so you can take pics but you cant make video. you dont only have to state a command to call somebody you can say go to my contacts or go to calander or where ever.. but at times the computer recignition has a hard time understand what you say so they need to improve that..its pretty easy to figure out. i can deal with it for now .. its a pretty cool phone but when my contract is up id like to try something better with more features
