Great Motorola Phone for Limited Calling

5

I use my Motorola W377 cell phone with my Tracfone service. I basically use the phone for the very limited phone calling that I do away from my home. I use to rarely turn it on, but now that I'm looking for work, I keep it on during the week. The sound is clear. I don't text on it though I've received a few texts and I'm capable of texting back a "yes" or "no" response. 8-)

This phone makes for a great starter phone. I had this phone after one of mine had broken and it worked great, I loved the camera that was built in and had a great quialty. Also the texting was fast and relativly easy. The calls went through smoothly and there were not any major gliches in this phone. It was easy to charge and not a hard charger to find. the only problem that I found is that it did not keep a charge for all that long. It would only hold a charge for about 3 days when not in use and about eight hours when in use, with texting of course. I never used the internet on this phone so I can not really comment on it, but a friend has said that it was slow. I would highly recommend this phone for younger teens that are getting their first starter phone as it is duarable, I have dropped mine on many occasions, and has easy to read and use menues. Over all this phone is a good phone it could use a few ajustments but is a good phone.

Better things to spend my money on.

I was very unimpressed with this phone.  Battery needed to be charged every other day.  I am a Tracfone user, and I could not get good reception with this phone.  Overall, I would recommend against it.

The Motorola W377 is good for someone looking for a simple phone

The motorola w377 is a good phone for someone who wants all the basics today (calls, texting, internet), but doesn't want something as complicated as the iPhone or Balckberry. The internet is generally slow, as to be expected from this phone, but is okay for checking the weather or downloading a wallpaper. All in all I give it 4 stars.

motorola w377 perfect except must charge every 3 days.

motorola w377 is a great prepaid phone for someone like me who uses it only for backup especially when on the road.  my only complaint is that it seems to spend too much time on the charger (every 3 days)  other phones i have had would charge only every 10-12 days.  it is annoying to try to use this phone only to have it dead when needed.

I have had a Motorola W377 mobile phone for 2 years. I bought it to use while traveling. I couldn't find any practical phones in the USA that worked abroad. So on one of my trips to the UK I picked up this inexpensive triband phone that works pretty much anywhere (including the USA). It is not a particularly good phone. Often there is a slight bit of feedback/echo during calls. The buttons are made of hard plastic and rather unresponsive, making it a very annoying phone to use to text. In addition, there is no consistancy in how long you have between pressing buttons before it moves to the next letter. So if you are trying to text the letter c sometimes you end up with aaa or ba instad of c, even if you allow the same amount of time between presses. It works the other way too, if you are trying to get a double letter, say nn, sometimes it gives you an o even if you wait a full 2 or 3 second between presses. I only send three or four texts a week, and it still gets on my nerves. You can only save one number per name and the menu is clunky and time consuming to navigate. The battery life is appalling. It frequently drops from 2 bars to none in the space of an hour- making the battery indicator a poor judge of how much power is really left. This phone was barable as a travel phone for occassional use, but it is a horrible primary mobile phone. To be fair, it is rather durable. I have dropped it on numerous occassions and it still works (probably because it knows I'd be happy for it to brake so I could buy a new phone).

The Motorla W377 cell phone is amazing simple but tough.

This phone is outstanding quality. Holds up even through the hardest fall. It is very simple-not for texting adicts. The web browser is all right...I did not use it much as I used Tracfone and did not always have that many minutes to spare. Overall, if you are needing a good phone without all the extras, this one is perfect.

need a cellphone with out the bills this ones for you.

I hate  hidden cellphone coverage when you get your bill and its way over what you expeted. I was told about this product from my friends so I gave it a try and I really can,t complain. If you are looking for a dependable cellphone the motorolla pre paid phone is for you. It has texting, camera, bluetooth, websearch, great service what more could you want from a pre paid phone.

It takes a beating and does everything it claims

I use this with Tracfone and although I'm not entirely happy with the signal that is the fault of Tracfone and it's service not my phone.  My phone I am very happy with.  I love the camera (although with Tracfone I can't do much with the photo except look at it, but it's still nice to have.)  It is a very durable phone.  I have dropped it numerous times and it withstands the beating quite nicely.  Unlike my other phones, the ringer has not yet worn out.  The vibrator and ringer seem to have a fairly long life. I also like the fact that opening the phone doesn't mean necessarily answering the call.  Previous phones I've had would answer the call upon opening and you didn't know who was calling.  This phone is nice because you can open and see who's calling and then decide whether you want to answer or not.  Overall I am quite pleased with it. My only complaint is the web access button.  I keep hitting it accidentally with my clumsy fingers, and with tracfone it costs me a minute from my prepaid account every time I hit the darn thing. I did it once and did not realize I had done it, so the whole time I was talking on the phone it was trying to access the web.  Really took a beating on my minutes that time. There is no way to hit the end button to cancel it and you can't disable the stupid button.  That is pretty much my only complaint with this model.

The Motorola W377 is a quality, yet affordable cell phone.

This cell phone is good to give to someone who doesn't text as much, but mostly makes calls. I found that because it was so affordable, it is a pretty quality phone. It's aesthetically pleasing, but if you were to get a multi-media message, it takes a while for the message to load. Also, it has simple features which makes it a no fuss cell phone.
