A good phone that does not cost very much.

The Motorola W370 is the Tracfone version of the popular Razr phones that you see everywhere.  I was a little disappointed that the Tracfone version only comes in silver, but the cost savings more than makes up for that. The W370 "boots up" reasonably quickly, The key pad is plenty big enough for me.  I wanted the flip phone feature, since my previous Tracfone was a "candy bar" style, and I had to fumble around locking and unlocking the keys.  With the W370, you can just open it up and make the call.  I was not able to get the web browser to work.  I wanted to import my own picture to put as a background.  But that is not a major factor for me, since I will not be looking at the screen all that much. If you want just a basic phone, this is something you should definately look at.  Voice quality good.  I do not do texting, but it is capable of that My wife occasionally will accidently send me a text.  :) Wayne

No Frills, but Good Value

I got this phone through Tracfone, a pay-as-you-go phone service. It was certainly a huge upgrade from my old clunky cell phone. The design is good, however I still can never get used to pressing the red "END" button to turn it on. The sound reception is fine; I would say it is very rare for me to lose a call in the middle of a conversation. I like the camera feature. A built-in flash would make it even better, but I cannot honestly expect such an advanced feature on a phone of this price. The Internet browser, though leaves a lot to to be desired. It takes forever to load, all the while units are being deducted from my account. Even when the webpage does manage to load, the controls on the phone are very cumbersome; which makes it very difficult to get around event the most basic webpages. The charger is simple and works well. I don't have a lot of experience with the headphones jack, but it's been fine the little I use it. Overall I like this phone and I think it is a good value for the money.

Overall Great

It may not be a smartphone, but for those of us who don't have a need for a smartphone this motorola is everything that you need. It is realiable and has all the basic needed features. Some of the top features that I have loved about it is that you can hear very clearly on it and the speaker phone is also of good quality. These are also the two qualities that I use so often. It has also had a very good battery life. I feel like I am never needing to charge it. It also seems to last forever when it only has one bar left on its battery. When it has one bar, I have talked for well over an hour without it going out on me. This phone has not been a disappointment in any way. I also like that this phone is pretty thin, and doesn't bother me when I have it in my pocket. It is very compact and comfortably fits in not only my pocket, but it also comfortably fits into my hand. Although this may be a very simple phone it is definitely a keeper.

Motorola W370 cell phone

5

This was my first mobile phone several years ago, and I have found it to be a reliable, easy phone to use and set up.  No odd messages about connection problems, always clear reception, and a good feel in the hand when using it. Easy access, and I have actually dropped mine several times and the phone never seems to have a problem. The only reason I wanted to upgrade was for picture capability, and now the W370 is a backup phone. Great little phone for kids as a first phone too without paying for things they would not be using.

Exceptional Tracfone!

Tracfone has won me over with this one.  I appreciate the idea of not having to spend a lot of money to convers on the phone.  With this phone i hardly spend anything and get quality all around.  I cannot believe how wonderful this product truly was.  My favorite part has got to be the ease of use that this phone provides.  Normally i have problems operating gadgets but this phone has been easy for me.

Simple, simple phone

The Motorola W370 phone has been in my possession for over a year now.  I needed to replace my old phone and figured this had all the functions that I would ever use on it.  Now, it seems old, but for basics, its great.  This is a nice little phone that does not have many bells and whistles.  You don't have a large selection of ringtones, which is a little disappointing, but I am looking for function, not bling.  You can text, take pictures and call.  It says it has a web browser on it, but even with the most explicit instructions, I am still not able to figure out how to use it.  You can also only access tracfone from said web browser.  There are a couple of bland games that come with it.  I would say the most "exiciting" is Sodoku.  The only real complaint I have of this phone is the placement of the browser button.  It seems like every time I want to make a call, I press the browser button and end up losing minutes from connecting then disconnecting.  Picture quality is nonexistant.  You need a super amount of light for the picture to make a decent one. Overall, this is a nice phone with basic functionality that I will keep around for a while.  As long as you are looking for basics, I highly recommend this phone.

Dependable and durable phone you can count on.

This is a phone that both I and my 20 year old very active son really enjoyed.  It was compact and durable and something we could count on, no matter what the situation.  Texting was difficult without an full keyboard and the camera was simple, but it fit our needs for a basic phone.

Motorola W370 Tracfone is a reliable companion

4

I cut my cell phone teeth on this phone. I'd never had a cell phone until I bought this unit a couple years ago. I've since upgraded one tiny step to camera and bluetooth, but only because it was a freebie. It's still a Motorola Tracfone. For someone who's not looking for ultra high tech, this phone's got great features. Certainly, its clarity and service area were excellent. But it was also fun to play with. I had a great time decorating it with my personal photography. I didn't customize its ringtones, though, because I couldn't make my own. I could if I knew how to make midi files, I guess. The phone has many features that a PDA has, which occasionally came in handy. As for the Tracfone aspect, it's a double-minutes-for-life phone, which is the only way to go. All text messages are charged .3 units, whether outgoing or incoming. Texting was made easy if one used the word-guess mode -- I don't remember its real name. There were a couple of things I hated. The low battery warning beep never worked. That was the only feature I ever found that did not work. Tracfone had placed the browser button in easy-to-accidentally-hit position. The user has to train oneself to not hit that thing, as it instantly connects and blows off units. That was also the only communications feature on the phone that did not require some sort of "hit OK" to proceed. It was also the only button on the keypad that could not be changed to something more useful than the factory setting. My husband would call this a communist plot. Tracfone disables its mini USB ports so that their phones cannot be sync'd to a computer. If you're techie, which I am, this is a huge disappointment. The only way to pass files between phone and computer is to email them, which blows off units. Bonus codes help ease the pain inflicted via these Tracfone unit-wasting quirks. If you own a Tracfone, find a website that lists bonus codes, and never fail to use one every time you add airtime.
