A good basic smartphone

By

from Poulsbo, WA

Comments about Motorola CITRUS Smartphone:

This is a good phone for someone who only wants basic smartphone capabilities. A good deal when paired with a certain prepay company as I have done.

Battery Life
The battery life seems good. It only needs charged every few days. However, I also have all data turned off.

Display/Screen Quality
The screen resolution isn't fancy and pictures are not good quality.

Call Quality
Calls sound like most other cell phones- nothing terribly bad or good.

Ease of Use
I find it annoying that I have to turn the screen on and unlock the screen to get into the phone. Also, sometimes the screen will not recognize my hands after I get into the phone. Why it can get me in and then can't do anything seems odd. I also have problems connecting to our wi-fi with the phone despite being in good range.

Durability
I've dropped it numerous times without any problems. Its rounded design lends itself to sliding out of my pocket and onto the ground.

Design
I like that it is small. The rounded corners make it a little slippery in the hands though, sort of like a citrus! Texting is ok, with an on screen touch board, though it would be easier with a slider keyboard.

Small and cute

By

from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Motorola CITRUS Smartphone:

I got the Motorola CITRUS Smartphone two years ago and I absolutely love it. It is compact, easy to use, and has survived various falls onto hardwood floors, concrete and even water. I use the phone regularly to check/send e-mails, text messaging, phone calls, and games. The phone takes good outdoor pictures, but I prefer not to use its camera while out and about because its got a weird delay happening so its tough to take a really nice picture. This phone is ideal for a woman (or man) with small hands, since the touchscreen keyboard is pretty small. For me, the sizing is perfect (about palm-sized) but my husband can't use my phone at all.

CITRUS by Motorola

By

from Hixson, TN

Comments about Motorola CITRUS Smartphone:

This was the free phone I got for singing up for new service. So far it has been a good phone (going on 5 months of constant use). It gets good reception, and has good memory, plenty of space for apps and games. The processor speed is ok, but not great. The all touch screen is a drawback to me (I still like a GOOD qwerty), but it has enough input functions, including swype input, and other options that anyone should be able to use it with a little practice. It has 2.1 android, which works well, and a "backpad" phone back scroll pad. You can turn this part off. It has no flash for the camera, and the camera is only ok. The phone is light and well built, and has great battery power for a smaller phone. It is a bit on the slick side as far as material is concerened. Wifi, bluetooth, and gps all are easy to use and work well on the phone. By far the best "free" phone I've had.

Motorola CITRUS--good entry level smartphone

By

from Columbus, OH

Comments about Motorola CITRUS Smartphone:

I bought the Motorola CITRUS as an upgrade for my husband's broken phone.  He wanted something more fun and flashy than his old flip phone, but we weren't quite ready for the price tag that comes with a higher end smartphone and required data service.  The Citrus came out about 2 weeks before I started looking and after reading a few reviews I bought it.  So far he has been very happy with this phone.  He doesn't do a ton of web browsing or streaming, but the phone is very user friendly.  The touch screen keyboard is a little cramped for heavy texting or emailing, but as with most touch screens, you will get used to it.  Call quality and battery life are both good for this phone.  The more compact size is also nice too if you plan to carry the phone in a pocket.  I will be eligible for upgrade this summer and will consider getting a Citrus of my own.  The only thing holding me back, and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the cramped keyboard.  I would rather have a pull out keyboard or a roomier touch screen.
