I've been a fan of Motely Crue since the 80's, so when I heard they were finally coming out with a new CD I was thrilled. Also, a little worried that it wouldn't be as great as their music in the past since it's been awhile.
This CD kicks butt! It is every bit as awesome as their older music, and maybe even better. They've done a great job of keeping the old sound they're famous for, but mixing in a new sound that will most likely get them new fans.
Most of the songs on the CD are reflective of their days starting out together. When you listen to the songs, after awhile you really start to feel like you're right there with them when they were struggling to make it. The lyrics are great and each musician really comes together individually to create a great sound.
There are a dozen songs on this CD. They are:
1.L.A.M.F.
2.Face Down In the Dirt
3.What's It Gonna Take
4.Down At the Whisky (This is a great, reflective song about them starting out in music)
5.Saints of Los Angeles (The album is named after this song, but in my opinion is not the best one on the CD)
6.Mutherf***** of the Year
7. The Animal In Me
8.Welcome To the Machine (This one is my personal favorite!)
9.Just Another Psycho (My second favorite!)
10.Chicks = Trouble (If you read Nikki Sixx's book "The Heroin Diaries", you will remember him writing this phrase throughout the book)
11.This Ain't a Love Song
12.White Trash Circus
13.Goin' Out Swingin'
Every song has a great beat, and catchy lyrics. I listen to it so much I actually find myself singing them in bed while I'm trying to sleep! YES, I recommend this CD very, very much.
