Most HelpfulI bought the Mother's Touch baby bather when I went out of town and obviously couldn't pack my baby's bathtub. I figured it was inexpensive enough and I could bring it back with me (it folds flat), so I bought it. It seemed like a good idea- the seat reclines for younger babies, it has a little headrest,...
read full review »The Mother's Touch Baby Bather was great for us because we were moving when our baby was born. I loved that it was mesh to dry quickly, could fold up, and fit in the sink or the tub. We didn't have room for a regular plastic baby tub and so this was given to us and was great. Our baby wasn't large so she fit in it perfectly. Now that she's squirming and sitting up we need something new. There are some draw backs. First, you have be careful because the baby can slid out if they move a lot. Not a problem in the sink, but it was in the tub. The second problem is if you have a larger baby they just...
read full review »I was not as happy as I thought I would be with the Mother's Touch Baby Bather and was frankly a little concerned with the safety of the product. It you put more than a few inches of water in the bath tub, the base of the seat will begin to float. This causes the seat to sway and not feel at all stable. Unfortunatley, the seat sits up so high that a few inches of water does not even reach the baby - so no part of their body is ever submerged in water.
The Mother's Touch Baby Bather also does not seem to accomodate a large baby well. My son was 9+ lbs at birth and is 23 lbs at four months old,...
read full review »I thought this would be a great help at bathtime because my daughter loves the water! She likes to kick her feet to make the water splash. This bath was an absolute nightmare. You have to put lots of water into the tub just so the baby can feel it. Then you have to keep your hand on her the whole time she is in it because there are no sides and all she has to do is lean one way and she will slip out. It took both of us to bath her using this. My husband would hold her and I would bathe her. The headrest was suppose to help the baby hold her head in place but it was so thin and flimsy that all it...
read full review »I love this sling for my baby girl. We've been using it since she came home from the hospital. First in the kitchen sink, and now in the bath tub. She is now 3.5 months old.
The mesh dries quickly, provides decent support, and allows water to come through. I love that it's collapsable (easy to travel with and set up in a sink!). The one thing I DON'T like about it in the bath tub is how much water you end up needing to put in the tub to get baby partially submerged. That part seems wasteful to me, and I ended up putting the seat in a large rubbermaid container so that I am using fewer...
read full review »I looked at a lot of baby bath tubs and seats before deciding to buy the Mother's Touch Baby Bather. This is one of the best baby items I have bought. We have used this seat since our baby came home and we are still using it now at 5 months of age. I am thrilled with this bath seat.
