Mortal Kombat Armageddon suceeds in many ways, but is a little lacking. The first thing one notices when starting it up is that every fighter from every Mortal Kombat game (of the regular series anyway) is immediatly availible upon start-up. FINALLY. The game includes 4 new characters that can be unlocked, including Blaze, the final boss. There is finally a very in depth character creator, and you can easily make replicas of the original look of the fighters in the first trilogy. Some characters have been redesigned a little too much for my taste however. The create a fatalitly system is interesting and refreshing. You can in put any of numerous short combinations to do one move at a time, and you build a chain (the moves you can do are dependent on the postion they are in, etc.) and it adds a very refreshing twist. Not to mention you can experiment until you make one you like then do it with most any character, like a signature move. However, i am dissapointed at the total removal of character specific fatalities that use their individual powers. The Konquest mode is MUCH better and more interesting than in Deception. Puzzle and Chess kombat are sadly removed, but Motor Kombat is added and is pretty fun. Great addition to any MK fan's library.
