Great magazine for older women

5

I've been a subscriber of More Magazine since it first was published.  As a woman over 40, I appreciate that More's articles and ads are geared to women over 40.  It's great to read about the experiences of other women in my age bracket and to see fashions that are not only age appropriate but also stylish!  More is a great incentive for all women of a certain age to be all that they can be!

If you are a 50 year old woman, then this is your new Bible!

This is one of my very favorite magazines. It seems to speak to my issues every month. It touches on fashion, feelings, and allowing us older gals to feel good about our selves no matter where we are in our journey. Being older is just getting used to the second half of our life. It is a magazine that will hold your interest with the human interest articles as well as cooking and health. This should be required reading for all ladies over 40.

Finally...A Magazine for the 40 and Over Woman!!!

I eagerly await my magazine to come in the mail!  What a refreshing and well-written magazine.  Doesn't treat you as if you're a teenager or 20-something!  I was looking for the insult to my intelligence and I have yet to find one!  Great read, great tips, and great pictures!  Very interesting!

Knows its audience and delivers!

If I could only have one magazine subscription, this would be it.  "More" knows what interests women over 40 and creates articles and features to hold that interest.  Good combination of celebrity interviews/features and real-life stories.  My only complaint is when it holds its annual Over 40 model search, it has allowed professional models to participate.  I think that should be open only to "real" women.  But that's the only bad thing I can say -- otherwise a great publication!

More Magazine is for the women over 40 interested in everything

As a professional women over 40, I was tired reading magazines that were geared towards the twenty-somethings.  A friend shared a copy of More Magazine and I was instantly hooked! To begin with the women on the cover are either my age or at least in the vicinity and some even have wrinkles!!  The articles address health and beauty issues for the over 40 crowd with unbiased reports of what works and what doesn't work.  Surprisingly, many of the products don't cost a week's worth of salary. Then, there are articles of a more serious nature and often issues women should be aware of and not ignore.  For instance, feeling fatigue, flu-like symptoms, chills and sweating may be the Flu- but it may also be a heart attack.  Of course the article goes into more details but I never really focused on the fact that I could have a heart attack and I should know what the symptoms are so I can act fast. Then there are the stories about women amazing women who reinvent themselves after parenting and the children leave the nest. It is inspiring that something that is a passion can turn into one's life work.  What's needed?  Motivation and the willingness to take a risk for something you feel passionate about. Lastly, there are the recipes.  I love to cook, but don't necessarily have the time.  The recipes are delicious and doable.  Now, if I didn't have the dishes to clean!

Finally a magazine for real women

Love that there is finally a magazine for real women over 40. It's mature, yet it's NOT stuffy. Talks about issues that women our age deal with - and we don't need to wade through the articles on finding the best skinny jeans ( which might appeal to 20 somethings) It is well written, keeps my attention and always keeps me look for it on the stands!!! Keep up the good work!

More Magazine, Finally a Magazine worth every penny.

I subscribed for the years to many magazines, but this is one I think has finally been worth the money I spent on it. More has articles that are informative and geared to the average woman and not to the 20 or 30 year old who wants to read about marriage issues and weight loss. I am an older woman and I find that makeup and fashion tips in most magazines just don't address my problems, smokey eyes and lip plumpers are not my style.  I need to see what clothes look like on women who actually look like me and not like Drew Barrymore. When I was 20 and thirty I sometimes found other magazines didn't use models that where easy to relate to so imagine how hard that image becomes when you are not a size 4 anymore. More magazine makes me feel like they understand my fashion concerns, my health issues, and issues I find entertaining. As a bonus I can take it with me to read on airplanes etc, without a suggestive title on the front cover, like 101 ways to please him in bed. That might interest me but I don't want to advertise it on the front of my reading material.

Gives me more for my magazine money

5

It's true, I am over 40 and well, sort of proud of it.  If you didn't see me with my 21 year old son I could probably pass for younger.  With age comes wisdom and one of the more fun and interesting ways for me to gain "wisdom" is through **More Magazine. ** **More Magazine **offers me more in a magazine than many others.  Their entertaining and informative articles and interest areas include:  - featured articles (hot topics for 40+ women)  - style/beauty - attitude - work/money - body/mind The regular rate for this magazine is $40.00. Amazon recently had it discounted for a one year subscription for $20.00.   I am really not much of a magazine reader. There are far "more" (pun intended) magazines in my home than I could every read. I admit to reading [Soap Opera Digest][1] most days as soon as it arrives, how else could I keep up with my "story," but the others in the house tend to accumulate and far more of them have my husband's name on them than mine.  **More Magazine** is among one of the ones each month I do enjoy, when I finally get time to read it.  [The Economis][2] t is another as well as Writers Digest, and of course Family Fun. I am a woman with eclectic tastes. And that is what is so terrific about **More Magazine**, there is something there for everyone. It can discuss age appropriate dressing and make up on one page and investing in your IRA on another.  It addresses the issues of working moms, SAHM's, older moms and grandmothers as well as all topics women.   Don't get me wrong, while it is designed for the woman 40+, I have many friends who enjoy it and they are 35+.  That just goes to show you that there is **More** to this Magazine than meets the eye.  [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Soap-Opera-Digest-Magazine-reviews [2]: http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Economist-Magazine-reviews

More magazine is the best magazine for "older women".

5

I subscrible to quite a few magazines but More is my favorite. I am an older woman, 53 and feel that this magazine is the only one I get that I read from cover to cover. The articles are interesting and geared towards my interests. My only critique would be that the clothes featured in the magazine as most magazines are are way too expensive for the average woman. The women featured in it also all look great, sometimes it would be nice to see just a regular looking older woman but still think it's the best magazine out there for general reading for older women.

I discovered this mag by accident. I am always looking at fashion mags to decide on what to wear to work, and I was very aware that even though I look 10 years younger than I am, I could not keep wearing fashions that I knew were too young for me. Found MORE at the bookstore, bought it, and fell in love. It has been very helpful to me, especially the articles about graceful aging, This month;s volume has a lengthy article on perimenopause, and JUST IN TIME for me! It answered many questions that I had. MORE is a great mag and I highly recommend it.
