Monte Carlo Resort and Casino - Las Vegas, NV Review Summary
The Monte Carlo Las Vegas got great ratings from Viewpoints reviewers. Most reviewers noted that the Monte Carlo has a quick check-in time and is close to many of the major attractions on the strip. Says one reviewer “the sky is the limit to anything you want to do.” Some reviewers noted that the Monte Carlo wasn’t as extravagant as some other Las Vegas hotels. The biggest complaints about the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino were centered around the need to remodel some of the older rooms.
Tip: Save money by taking the airport shuttle to the hotel instead of a cab.

We had a wonderful time at the Monte Carlo. Both my husband and I won money in the Casino. The room was average, but very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in was a bit slow, but the bellhop, the valet, the housekeeping staff and room service wer every efficient. I will stay at the Monte Carlo Resort again. …

This hotel is well located, it doesn't have the luxury of the the big hotels, but it's really confortable. The only BIG problem that we encounter was that the water doesn't run in the bathtub, if you take fast showers there is not problem , but if you take your time you can have a flood. — …

We stayed at the Monte Carlo and had a FANTASTIC time. We were on our honeymoon and upgraded to a spa suite. We faced the construction but had a great view of the pool. The first morning we awoke to some major construction jack hammering. Which was very loud and noticable. So instead at night we made sure to turn the auto fan on, so we had back ground noise while sleeping and then we slept like babies! The beds are amazing, we had a king with feather pillows and duvet!!!! Also upgrading we got some coupons, like a free desert and deals through out the hotel. We loved the brew pub, and…

This is the first time my wife has been in Vegas so I wanted to be on the strip where the action is. She does not like huge crowds though. Thats why I chose the Monte. It is one of the most quiet and ellegant hotels on the strip. Especially for the price. Because It does not have a popluar theme like luxor or New York - you dont get the picture seekers coming through. The Monte is a big hotel - it has over 30 floors. The hotel is maintained nicely. The pool is excellent. The hotel staff is nice. I arrived at 8:00am in the morning and I checked my bags, ate breakfast and my room was ready by…

I loved the Monte Carlo pool in the summer but I am fearful that they have come upon some new plan and it will not be as much fun. They had a lazy river which was fun, even for adults---more fun than standing around in a regular pool and I think that is what they are replacing the lazy river with--another regular pool. Not enough space for anything too spectacular. I also loved the spa in the past, but this time they could not fit me in for the treatment I wanted, but not only that they didn't even try to fit me in on another day or sell me another idea. It was this lack of concern that…

The room, although facing the massive construction next door, gives a view to the North of the Strip which is great. The rooms are clean and decent. Pertaining to whether I'd recommend this property to a friend - it would not be at this time with the current construction next to the Monte Carlo. Reason: we rented a car and wanted to self park - but found out their self parking lots are full. We were somewhat surprised that a worthy hotel with so many guests rooms were out of parking for their own hotel guests!! The other solution, as we were toldm was to go to the next parking garage in…

I was disappointed with the continual construction going on in the casino during our stay. They didn't partition the construction area well and the work crew should have cleaned up after themselves when they were done each day. Hearing jack hammers while in the casino wasn't the sound I expected. It is good to see they are upgrading, but the way it was done was very unprofessional. I was disappointed with the room service/housekeeping of the hotel. Room service carts and trays were left in hallways longer than 24 hours and I called to have them removed 3 different times. The…

I am a return visitor to the Monte Carlo Hotel so had high expectations based on my last visit. August of 2007 finds this hotel completely surrounded by high rise construction projects. We counted 16 cranes working day and night , erecting the framework for the seven, high rise structures about to destroy the beautiful view out our now very dusty windows. Some guests we spoke with were upset with the noise and asked to be moved. We were told the hotel was willing to move people to another of their properties. We didn't try but rather chose to tolerate the noise. What we found more…

The Monte Carlo is the best kept secret on the strip! From the moment we arrived everyone from the bell man that helped us with our luggage to the check in were so very friendly and helpful. When I told the front desk that our fliht was not leaving until midnight they offered me the ability to stay in the room until 1pm without extra charge or to stay until 6pm for half the room price-that was such a great deal and really was a blessing as we could go back to the room after souvenior shopping, take a nap and get pack for the long flight home. The room was perhaps a little smaller than I had…

The Staff, especially at check in dont seem to care about the customer. The pool area, including sundeck was closed, the buffet restaurant was closed, We traveled with friends, and had phoned previously requesting that we be accomodated on the same floor,,, that didnt happen and when pointed out to the Check in staff she JUST DID'NT CARE!! Thy did exchange our room the next day, after I spoke to Special Desk Manager, who at least was somewhat helpfull, The room I moved to I found garbage under the nightable and in the washroom,,Later when I attempted to charge to my room in the hotel bar, I…

I stayed at the Monte Carlo on this last trip and I hate to say it but I was somewhat disappointed. We have stayed there 2 other times and we were very pleased with it. This last time upon check-in everything seemed fine. When we got to the room, the a/c was not working to full capacity, the elevators were always strewn with trash on the floor, the bedding reeked of body odor, the tram to the Bellagio is closed which was not disclosed upon asking, our sheets on our bed were not tucked in they were just left. Now to the casino, seems as if they took out a huge amount of tables and all of the…

I stayed at the Monte Carlo to meet up with a relative who was staying in Vegas on business. The location of this hotel was top notch because it was right in the center of the strip. Other hotels are quite expensive in this area but the Monte Carlo was affordable and didn't charge me an arm or a leg to stay in the middle of Vegas. The room was comfortable and my girlfriend thought it was very nice. I don't stay in Vegas very much so I don't know what to compare it to, but I enjoyed the furniture and thought room service did a great job of cleaning up after us. Room service even…

The Monte Carlo was a nice surprise for us! We had never been to Vegas before and were not really sure of what to expect from a mid-price hotel. As soon as we saw the Monte Carlo, from our cab, we were impressed. Walking into the lobby confirmed that we had made a good choice: luxurious surroundings, friendly, helpful staff, quick and efficient check-in. Our room was nicely furnichjed with a king-size bed,end tables, desk, chairs wardrobe. The bathroom, while not spacious, was adequate. We ate in the Deli and were pleased with price, quality , and service.Although we did not eat in any of…
