I loved the Monte Carlo pool in the summer but I am fearful that they have come upon some new plan and it will not be as much fun. They had a lazy river which was fun, even for adults---more fun than standing around in a regular pool and I think that is what they are replacing the lazy river with--another regular pool. Not enough space for anything too spectacular. I also loved the spa in the past, but this time they could not fit me in for the treatment I wanted, but not only that they didn't even try to fit me in on another day or sell me another idea. It was this lack of concern that bothered me, I mean do you think I HAD to have a seaweed wrap---couldn't someone in the know have suggested something else???? I think women who go to a spa on a casino vacation are really up for pampering, they don't really care what the exact techniques is that much! They also need to get more efficient food services, I hate to say fast food, but let's face it---people do grab a breakfast sandwich, thank god they have Starbucks! It isn't really a happening place either, and I can't tell if that is by design or that they are missing it--all their lounges pretty much suck. I will continue to stay there because I like the price as I usually go to Vegas with people on a tight budget, and the location is great. But I don't think that is a good thing for the Monte Carlo---if I think the location is great it is because I am out going somewhere else!

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Everything is very close to the Monte Carlo. Within an easy walking distance are all the food and shopping attractions you can think of. The Starbucks, Nathans and McDs is right off the elevator so if you just want something quick in the morning to take back up to your room--its great, much, much better than other casinos.
