After watching the last half of the two-part season finale last Friday night, I dashed to the internet to see how many seasons of "Monk" were out on DVD.  My Dad recommended the show to me a couple of years ago and I only recently started watching it on the USA Network ("characterswelcome"), and now I am hooked!

Tony Shaloub is absolutely perfect as the genius obsessive-compulsive homicide detective.  Traylor Howard shines as his assistant Natalie Teeger, especially in the season finale.

In the season finale we see many characters from the past coming together.  Monk is lured to a remote spot by the possibility of finding out more about the supposed killer of his late wife, Trudy (the mysterious six-fingered man).  As we watch the confrontation it looks as if Monk has shot the six-fingered man, and for most of the first half of the two-part episode we are in suspense --- Monk says he didn't do it, and we want to believe him, but the murder weapon was his gun and the last thing we see is Monk pointing it at the six-fingered man.

As events unfold we find out who set Monk up, and why. I won't spoil it for those who haven't yet seen the show, but we do see an appearance of Dale the Whale.

Personal favorite moments of the season finale:  Mr. Monk working at the car wash.  I wish he would detail MY car!

You will want to watch every single episode of Monk!  And I am looking forward to finding out more clues about Trudy's demise in upcoming season seven!
