Mondera - 18k White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Band (G-H/VS, 1/3 ct. tw.) Review

When my husband and I met over five years ago, we fell in love pretty quickly and picked out my engagement ring after only 3 or 4 weeks.  Then reality set in and we worked at our relationship, our jobs, and buying a house together.  Once we owned the house and did various improvement projects, the whole getting married thing was pushed off indefinitely.

Four years later, he custom ordered the engagement ring that we had chosen so long ago. As we planned the wedding, he then found the perfect wedding band to go with the engagement ring.  It wasn't cheap, but he's smart and knew that I really wanted it.  In fact, he even sprung it on me during the wedding ceremony as a surprise.   (I thought I was getting a boring and plain thin silver band and, well, wasn't very happy about it.)

The Mondera 18K White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Band contains 5 square sapphires and 4 round white diamonds.  The diamonds have a total weight of 1/3 carat, the color is G-H, and the clarity is VS.  The setting of the stones is wide enough to cover the front of your finger and even give the illusion of an enternity band.  It is a very unusual design and eye-catching because most people haven't seen a diamond and gemstone band before.  It looks perfect with my engagement ring (princess cut diamond with sapphire baguettes) and as if the two are supposed to be a matching pair. 

The Mondera 18K White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Band costs $1400.  My coworker nearly choked when she heard that price, but I don't think it is completely unreasonable.  I have no complaints about this wedding band.  The bottom side of it has gotten a bit scratched in the past couple of months, but I understand that that happens with many gold bands.  The bottom of my engagement ring is equally as scratched, so at least it is a matching set! I highly recommend Mondera's Sapphire and Diamond Wedding Band.  It is beautiful and very different from what the average person has.  I've gotten dozens of compliments on it since the wedding in April.
