Most HelpfulI have been to Mon Ami Gabi many times over the years and it rarely disappoints. I highly recommend it if you are up for a nice relaxing dinner with good traditional, but Americanized french cooking.

review »I used to live in Paris and, at the time, really didn't have much money. So, whenever I went to an upscale Bistro it was a real treat. I have the same feeling when I walk into Mon Ami Gabi in Lincoln Park in Chicago.
I love the atmosphere here as much as I love the food. The relatively dark, deep toned restaurant begs for smoking, even if no one does that anymore. The waiters are dressed very much like French waiters in black pants with an an enormous, draping white apron. And If you can't decide which wine, wine tasting start taking on a pre-dinner event of their own.
