Modern Seed Review

First off, I am not a parent, but I love Modernseed.com.  It's a great site for purchasing gifts or for decorating your child's living space.  (They also offer products for 'moms and dads,' so there is definitely adult fare listed as well.  And by adult fare, I mean the best in design - Eames, Netto, Fatboy, etc.)

The breadth of product listed on Modernseed is amazing to me.  They have some of the coolest furniture for kids - I've posted some examples in my album.  This site almost makes me want to be a parent :), until I look at the prices.  I really have no idea how much cribs run, but I think $1,600 may be a bit excessive - however, for good design, perhaps the price is palatable enough.  They also offer clothing, toys, room design elements, quilts/pillows and kid-friend dining utensils.   They have an online sale section, but it's never huge - probably ~20 items every time I check. 

I think for most people, Modernseed is a nice site for special gifts.  I think it provides products that kids can probably grow with instead of 'out of,' so in that sense, the prices may be in-line.  At any rate, I would highly recommend visiting this site if you have/know children and appreciate good design.
