practice makes perfect!

4

I started using this carrier with my third child. I find the Moby Wrap to be easy and convenient, after a few practice runs to perfect the tying technique. The instruction manual is a little intimidating at first; it features several different types of wraps that can be used at different ages. By looking at one wrap technique at a time, the process of wearing your baby in the Moby is actually easy. The wrap itself can be rolled or folded to travel anywhere you need to take it. The material is machine washable and easier to clean than the buckle-style carriers. Because the material is thin, baby is worn close to your body, allowing the wearer to safely carry baby while remaining hands-free to take on other tasks. Moby wraps come in a variety of colors that can coordinate with clothing, baby gender, or make a fashion statement. Overall, I give this product an 8/10 for ease and comfort of use while carrying your little one anywhere you need to go.

Super wrap! Frees your hands while snuggling with baby

I tried a few different types of wraps/slings with my first born and he never really took to them.  Seemed angry/frustrated everytime I tried to get him in.  In anticipation of our second child I read quite a few reviews and recommendations from others about how much they loved the Moby wrap.  I'll tell you they were not wrong! It did take a little bit of practice to figure out how to put the wrap around my body -but I did a few trial runs before I ever wanted to put baby in it.  There are also some very helpful videos on YouTube for those who are more visual.  My Moby was a godsend!  Little guy fit right in and was very secure.  He'd snuggle in there and then I would have my hands free to fold laundry or actually type normally (vs. trying to do it one handed while holding baby) on the computer.  My husband also got a kick out of the wrap and how cute the little guy looked all snug in there.  I even wore baby in my Moby during a Superbowl party - barely even knew he was there!

Very versitile but a bit tricky

We first got a moby wrap with my eldest daughter (now over 3 years old). We have continued to use it as she's grown for those times she wants to be carried on long walks. We have also used it with our nearly 1 year old. Our favorite times to use it are during infancy when the baby wants to be tucked into the fetal postion the most and still be close to you. It is perfect for the transition to a legs down carry position. While it does take some time and practice to figure out how to get it on, once you have that down it is a breeze! Both my husband and I have used it, he actually prefers it more than I do. We sometimes refer to it as putting on a toga as some of the inital ways to put it on makes you look like you are wearing one. It's very easy to leave on too when the child wants to get out. I have even kept it on and nursed.

After 3 kids, I've FINALLY found "the" carrier that works!!!

The Moby Baby Wrap is the best baby product ever marketed!  For my first child, I purchased the traditional baby carriers with all the straps, bells and whistles.  You name it, I tried it and then eventually returned it all because it was either too bulky, too tight or too large for me!  I'm only 5'4 and all the products on the market seem to have been made for much taller mothers.  I even tried the baby sling.  The whole concept of a baby sling seemed ingenious!  But, I just could not get the hang of it.  I always felt that my baby was going to fall out of the sling. I always found myself "supporting" her in the baby sling whenver she was in it....sortta defeats the purpose of putting your baby in a baby carrier in the first place (to have your hands-free..).  One day I saw a YouTube clip for the Moby Wrap...I was HOOKED. The demo on YouTube made it look so easy! I bought one and sure enough its VERY easy to use.  Its VERY secure for the baby too. The biggest PLUS for me is that it fits me perfectly! My baby is tucked securely inside.  The biggest perk that the Moby Wrap has is that it has a "built in cover" that you create yourself when you initally put on the Moby Wrap.  The "cover" really comes in handy when you are out and about and it gets a little chilly for the baby.  My baby has fallen asleep many, many times while in the wrap.  I highly recommend the Moby Wrap.  Toooo bad I didn't find it sooner---well, at least I did get to use it on my third/last child! :-)

I love the Moby Wrap!

I love the Moby Wrap! I have tried many different baby carriers and this one by far is the best. It is great that you have different positioning options with this wrap, unlike some carriers that only allow front and back options.  The Moby Wrap also was very comfortable to wear and my son was comfortable in it. It is great to use around the house when trying to get stuff done and your baby wants to be held. I loved to use it out while shopping when my son was asleep, I could put him in it and he would still be asleep! It was great because you have so many options with this wrap. I got a lot of people asking for information on it and where to purchase one. It does stretch out some but once it does that just wash and dry it and it goes back to its original shape.  It is also great for larger babies or newborns since you can make it as tight or lose as you want. It comes with instructions that show you step by step on how to use the wrap, it might seem difficult at first but once you get the hang of it it is so simple.

So comfortable I forget I'm wearing it!

I bought this Moby because the mamas on a website I frequent were raving about how comfortable it was. Now, I have 6 kids, the oldest is almost 8, the youngest is 3 1/2 months old. They keep me BUSY! The baby goes through times where he wants A LOT of attention, and I can't always give it to him. But when I put him in the wrap, I feel like I'm not neglecting him, and he feels like he's getting what he needs. Usually baby carriers don't work well for me either because of my size (I'm plus-size) or because they pull at my shoulders and hurt my back. This one doesn't. It's plenty long to go around me enough times, and the weight is very well distributed between my shoulders and back that I don't mind wearing it for extended lengths of time. I haven't noticed any stretching of the fabric, it washes up nicely, it comes in it's own cute little carrying pouch. It still looks like it's almost new and I've been using it for a couple of years now!

Moby Wrap Review

I have tried the Moby wrap with my second born and it helped me out a lot.  My son had Colic the first 2 months of life so the Moby wrap was a real lifesaver for me.  I haven't used it since he has gotten bigger though because he has a hard time controlling his head b/c he is so big.  I do recommend the Moby wrap to others that are willing to take the time and learn the different ways to tie it. It's a very good product

The Moby is my FAVORITE CARRIER

4

I just received my Moby last week but I am already loving it.  I have the Moby wrap in Chocolate, and I love the color- it goes with pretty much anything I am wearing.  Some wraps come is pretty outrageous colors and patterns.  I prefer a more neutral pattern so it goes with what I am wearing. What I like about my Moby: I like that when I put my son in the Moby, the fabric crosses inbetween his legs so I do not have to worry about him falling out the bottom.  When I plan to wear my son in the Moby when we are going out I put the moby on before I leave so that it is all ready when we get to our destination.  The first two times I used my Moby I put it on too loose.  The fabric of the Moby is stretchy, so you should put it on so it is "fitted" on you and then stretch the fabric to put baby in.  If you "leave slack" so you can put baby in it will be too loose and you will not be comfortable.  The main thing I have a problem with, with the Moby is that you can't "tighten" it where you need it tighter.  The other downfall is that the fabric is stretchy and when you have a 10-month-old that likes to throw himself back when he is tired- it is not safe.  My son did this twice and scared me to death!  Even with this, I am so comfortable wearing my Moby and my son is also usually comfortable and calm- I still LOVE it.

The Moby wrap worked wonders in the beginning.

My baby was colicky for the first 3 months and the Moby wrap was a godsend.  I registered for it based on recommendations from other mom's, took one look at the instructions and tucked it away.  When my daughter was about 3 weeks old I took it out again and forced myself to learn how to tie it and it was so worth my time!  I used it every day for about a month after that during the witching hours (early evening) when nothing else would calm my screaming baby.  The Moby wrap never failed me once.  She would always end up falling asleep when I walked her around in this.  I remember how amazing it felt to have my hands free when I had been spending almost all her waking hours carrying her around.  I was able to get some simple tasks done around the house and even eat!  I haven't used the Moby since she was about 3 months because she outgrew the colic but I still think its well worth having.  If you are struggling with tying it google "moby wrap videos" or go to youtube and there are instructional videos that can help you.  The only drawbacks are that it gets very hot with the baby pressed against you and that it stretches out fairly quickly.

My baby and I loved the Moby wrap

5

I was interduced to the wrap by a friend who inssited that I buy it. I am not one for running out to buy something but this was a nessissity as this was not my first child and my other children needed me and my arms were busy. My baby girl did not like to be slinged over one shoulder and so i thought i was stuck with holding her for 3 months and my other children would just have to suffer. After a messy house and nothing to eat or anything being cooked I descided to give it a try and I went and bought one. I tried it that day and used it for almost every day since then. My baby loved falling asleep listening to my hardbeating and I also think it brought us closer to gether. Her temperment is one where she just loves to be held and loves to be close to me so this allowed me to do that and let her sleep the whole time while I was making dinner. I had my baby right before halloween so I did not know how I was going to take my children trick or treating with the family and have a new born sleeping in my arms. I put on my moby and she went right to sleep for the whole night! I had my life back!
